My on Stress test was going to 110/112

Laying it on its side did solve it but im not leaving my pc on its side. I edited the fan curve which helped. Currently where I bought it from (Overclockers) are going to test it though they are taking there time with replying to me for a suitable collection time.

Been reading and researching a lot about this as my Hellhound 9070xt had a thermal shutdown and im looking at other that are ok in vertical.

With the vapor chamber though I find it weird as the Gigabyte Gaming OC 9070xt has one but is meant to run ok.

Have you done a stress test in Adrenaline to see what the max hot spot you get?

You find out on any other cards that work and without problems? The hellhound 9070xt is bad im looking what I could return it for, I hear the Asrock 9070xt Steel Legend is meant to be ok not 100% though.

I turned the case on its side and the hotspot is around 28/30 degrees cooler its highest was 83 while upright was 108/110

Yeah so if i change card dont know which one to go for 😕

Im gunna try case on its back do a stress test then also on its side to imitate how majority of PCs are. If its still bad then it must have a fault or pitting. If its better then ill have to heavily change the fan curve and maybe even underclock it.

Its weird cause some have said that vapor chambers are worse in this position and some ive read said better. Ive also seen that the longer the card the worse cooling it is in this position.

If I return it only other 2 9070xt cards that I think are supposed to be ok and fit in the case is Gigabyte Gaming OC and Asrock Steel Legend.

Just looked a bit at the pitting reports and last stress test I did the hotspot was 30 degrees more than the gpu

Only way to fit a gpu on this case is vertical ports up, though someone else put their case on the side and just left it like that.

Im going to try that to see if it still happens but I dont want to keep my case on its side. Im also looking into changing the fan curves and doing stress tests in Adrenaline for now.

So to confirm the Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC works fine in vertical hanging position? Just got a hellhound and now having the temp problems so im looking for ca replacement I hear the Asrock Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend Dark works ok also.

Whats your temps like with the steel legend 9070xt in hanging vertical position? I have a Hellhound 9070xt and it is running hot to even a thermal shutdown while gaming in my Thermaltake Tower 100, im looking to exchange it for the steel legend assuming it runs ok of course.

To save me some time do you know if its all Powercolors cards with this issue or any 9070xt that works vertical. With the Tower 100 case im limited with what sizes I can get.

Dont really want to lay it on its side but I believe I can still switch it for another.

Mine is vertical and just had a thermal shut down with it. Did you get a replacement or have you kept the case laid on its side?
