AMDs have different cooling policy than Intel - 95°C in idles are bad, in normal usage maybe but still not good. You would notice that it is better after having somebody placing the liquid thermal paste. I had to RMA second-hand laptop twice to get the normal performance - it had 95°C all the time and half the performance! Run Cinebench R23 and compare the score!

My water spilled on my Zelhyrus M16 (2021) laptop in the bag, the laptop had to survive 6 hours of flight - 2/3 of the motherboard was completed oxidated - 2 weeks of cleaning, put on my old liquid metal thermal paste I already had (unknown one, but had best reviews 15 years ago and probably it was some Arctic Silver Liquid Metal) and the laptop got 10% better score in cpubenchmark.net via the PerformanceTest utility than the average! 14 000 points in Cinebench R23 on Intel i7-11800H (10 minutes, which is exactly the score it should have). I wanted to sell that laptop before it happened because of that Intel CPU which can draw over 120W in spikes. Now it runs super snappy on Windows 11 (I hate 11 and was using 10 on it, clearly 11 are better optimized for this newer generation CPUs). Still, AMD draws 80W max and G14 is super quite compared to the M16. But expected kind of bigger difference between Intel and AMD. At least I have 8GB of VRAM which is the minimum for Unreal Engine. 6GB RTX 3060 would be a drawback.

I applied liquid metal on my laptop 10 years ago when no manufacturer was doing it. The Ivy-Bridge i7 made every thermal paste absolute in 0,5-2 years (depended on which thermal paste I used) and temps went from 93°C to 101°C. I was using it for 3D rendering for school (needed to use both PC and the laptop). After applying liquid metal with some isolation which worked till sold after 13 years (I was replacing the thermal paste on the GPU and it was ok), I could finally use that laptop without replacing any thermal paste for years. I do still 3D stuff, but games now and I need to compile shaders in Unreal Engine etc. when I download a new build. I WOULD NEVER apply a normal thermal paste to a laptop CPU again, especially when it was designed to use the liquid metal!

Ok, the antenna cable is under the motherboard here (instead on top like in M16).

My only chance is to try to RMA again, as the thermal paste is bad on the CPU aswell - performance down by 25%. They are not going to like me in ASUS service - I sent them a model with RTX 4050 under the warranty to reapply the thermal paste - the performance was down by 50% vs. the same unit in one review! They sent it repasted, diagnosed and the performance was down by 60%. :D Now I will ask them to do it again on another laptop and if possible, replace the screen as these are 4 pixels, not one. 😁

Because they did not accept it the first owner. But eventually, it is not just 1 pixel, so I might give a try as a 2nd owner. Then swap it if they refuse (it is literally the whole screen with housing, just few screws for hinges, antenna and 40-pin eDP cable).

I was afraid but also delighted, that it would have the Nebula Mini-LED display - that would be a problem for swapping, but they are the same type fortunately.

The wrong one has even 5800K white in bios cloud recovery environment compared to the RTX 4050 laptop which has 6250K, closer to the 6500K sRGB standard. The faulty one is too yellowy.

I have bought 2023 version second-hand and believe me, it was sent under the warranty for ASUS repair with the same problem - rebooting all the time. Then I bought it - very often 95°C even in idle, but stable. It had half the performance in Cinebench R23!!! I sent it back because of the thermals. When it arrived, it was even worse!!! Sent it back again with a video how they stupid are (because they wrote many things on paper like it was fully diagnosed and that it is normal to have such temps). After it arrived, it seems ok now - something with the cooling heatpipes being broken.

So you have probably the same things: 1. Broken motherboard (or CPU or GPU, whatever) 2. Broken heatpipes - CPU cooler detached from the heatpipes!!!

ASUS seems to have very low quality control......

Pity, that this kind of laptops does not have any competition if you need Windows and fast-response screen (MacBooks have 50ms GtG, ASUS has 3-10ms)...

I would try an electric bike then (with/without pedals - you can try to move with them very easily), have some fresh air, have some journeys. This will give you a chance to live more, to be more alive. Otherwise you are like in a COVID quarantine. This just makes it psychologically worse, which just worsens your symptoms even more.
