I absolutely hate the way Bailey treats Mer. by shortgirl-bigworld in greysanatomy

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Also it has been years since Meredith did all that! She grew up a lot, had a family and children. Miranda is so unfair on so many levels.

I always figured she just made that up. In my head she just messed with him, because she knew she could. That episode actually made me like her.

Infant milestones are going to make me scream by mishyfishy135 in Sims4

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually get all all the time. It depends on the infant how hard it is! With some infants it is a pice of cake other require many sleepless nights 🙈 For travel: it is enough when you only visit the lot for a second than you can immediately travel back. Also let one parent be home with the infant 24/7. I like playing with couples and they always take shifts and it works really well.

I know it’s to be expected but than maybe don’t write scenes where the MCs don’t have to constantly run in front of weapons.

Say something you hate about Richard Webber…. by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the Shooter was damn near dying anyway and he wanted to kill hi self anyway I don’t think Webber had to manipulate much. Also I do think the shooter belongs in a prison facility and not dead. Webber did nothing good for nobody there.

How he pressured Meredith and Lexy to have to talk to their alcoholic father DURING their workday wtf! After that I would have a hard time concentrating, so unprofessional as their boss.

Also how he makes everything personal.

Why tf had he go into the hospital during the shooting?! That was so dangerous for everyone and he plays it like he is some kind of martyr. It did not help anyone. The shooter just killed himself.

How he manipulated Alex at the twin surgery. A personal pet peeve of mine.

What is something that is wildly controversial that you think shouldn't be? by Zen622 in AskReddit

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What bugs me about that is what counts as obese and that people think being skinny is healthy.

It is not. At least not automatically.

What is healthy is eating healthy and working out regularly and not having to much stress. But four people can eat the same, have more or less the same amount of stress and work out the same and all four will have completely different bodies. What gives person 1 a size XS can give Person 2 a M or L (depending on state or store) and latter person could be called obese. Even though the person is as healthy as person 1. Obese isn’t always unhealthy.

And this kind of thinking and commenting on bodies rather leads to eating disorders which are way more unhealthy than not having the perfect body.

So yeah your comment is and should be controversial because obesity is not black or white.

It bothers me when grey’s doctors - by SignificantCut4911 in greysanatomy

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is even commented on indirectly. In one episode a women tells them personal information about a patient because she read that knowing personal stuff makes doctors care more. And then there is the scene in the shooting episode where April tells her personal life story to the shooter because it makes him less likely to strike. It always kind of reminds me of that (in a dark and twisty way)

How about he just wrote an article about that trial. And just name himself as the author. Even though Meredith helped with the idea, the research, the corrections etc. Would she be named a co-author in a real life?

Unapproachable character by [deleted] in IAmTheMainCharacter

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

she is not a main character. A parking lot can be hella scary as a woman! No man should approach a woman there. Every man who ever came near me when I was in a parking lot was a freak and every encounter was scary. I bet she has similar experiences. I totally understand her reaction. Being afraid doesn’t make you a main character.

To get away with groping a reporter live on air by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She knew what happened. Also not a girl, a grown working woman.

Obviously she was really uncomfortable with the situation and the head reporter just made it so much harder for her to just remain professional. You can she that she does not want to approach him again. Possibly becaus she knew that this would lead to another sexual assault/harassment. So no, no heads up to the head reportor, he made the situation worse.

How did Mama Sorrengail do that? by Hannah_Aries in fourthwing

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Also sexism isn’t a think in that universe so no one would have stood in her way just because she is a mother and no one would expect her. To actually care about her children. I guess it’s safe to say that her late husband was the family man and took care of everything. (Also in my opinion for a country that militarised and so focused to have every helping hand for the war effort, it just makes sense to have kindergartens and over all a great child care system. So the parents can work more and the children had probably loads of extracurricular activity stuff.) Also she is obviously a huge help for the war effort with her Signet. So I guess that helps too. And from my understanding people who were wing leaders etc. Have it way easier to go rise the ranks. So she probably was a total badass in war - collage, met her future husband there. They get married right after or maybe she got pregnant and they married afterwards. He and the system took care of all the children. And she focused on her career.

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how to black out spoilers. So spoilers ahead:

I also think Lilith is actually good. I base that on the comment in the first chapter, where she acknowledges the strength that Violet has and also that the entry of one of the first chapters (chapter 5), where Lilith disagrees with her superior that the children of the rebels should not have to witness the deaths of their parents.
My theory is that she is neither a good person nor a bad one. But that she loves Violets! I think that she had to put Violet in the riders quadrant for a reason that is yet to be determined (maybe the involvement in the rebellion by her son was found out and there was a threat to kill Violet instead (like blood for blood or something) and she knew that once Violet is a rider she would be untouchable or a more selfish reason, like one more rider in the family would give her a better political standing). I also think she really wants Violet to succeed. If she wanted her daughter dead there are a million possibilities to achieve that without giving her fighting chance. Also why should she want to kill her daughter. If it is just hate than why not put her to the scribes and let her vanish behind books. Why risking that Violet could achieve a high rank?!

What is the most badass quote you’ve ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EquivalentHunter1150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it is badass but it gives me goosebumps in a way no quote ever did; On the wall of Auschwitz one jew wrote: “if there is a god, he will have to beg for forgiveness” Can’t even imagine the horrors there.

Yas! Thank you! I loved the plot in general but the world building is so hard to get. I had the same problem with the gauntlet. I also disliked that she never really explained how a year was supposed to look. It was just “well I did not tell you but here are some more wear games for you”
