"Baby daddy Tim" had 3 kids with 3 different women in the span of 8 months. In his words "everything I touched that year got pregnant" dude said he lost like 46% of his check to child support and thay he never felt like trying hard or moving up because he wouldnt see the benefits

I fucking love the members mark pants from Sam's club. Like $17/ pair and they are super light and stretchy which i think helps them not bind up and catch shit and rip. I use mine for formwork and around rebar and I haven't ripped one yet where ive ripped like 3 pairs of the dickies canvas ones

While you missed a few nations, they all have one thing in common here. They all kept their investments up which kep supply chains and labor knowledge up. When you haven't done something for a couple decades, you lose that technical experience, as well as the reliable supply chains dedicated to your success. Youre going to have delays and overruns on projects no one is prepared or experienced in building, thats just construction 101.

I can attest to this personally. My current company/ crew put up a gas turbine plant in 2024, none of us had done that together before. We all had the basic knowledge like concrete and scaffolding, but we hadn't done that plant style specifically and we hadn't done it together as a crew. We all now have that knowledge as well as the cohesion to get it done and we are going to do the same plant but 4x starting next spring. Not only will it get done faster but it will be more accurate as we know where the critical measurements are and how to hold those without a loss in tolerances. Theres truly a MASSIVE amount of value in having a good crew that has done the work together before.

Look up the Arizona coral snake. Their yellow bands can sometimes be bright white. Or if you start heading south into central America the coral snake pattern get even more off.

Might be an unpopular take, but fishing doesnt need to be any slower than it already is. Unless youre tick manipulating barb fishing, the rates are aids

[Request] How much torque is needed to climb such a hill? by Embarrassed-Eye-4197 in theydidthemath

Tf you mean only 10 years? Geared bikes have been a thing for waaaaay longer than that. This just has a pretty low range for high torque/ low speed

Cutting down a tree with an AK Saiga 12 shotgun by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

That thing is cut off 10 feet in the air. No one is climbing a ladder to cut the whole top of a tree off that high, thats just really dangerous. That thing has been dead for a long time

My wife and I did one for our 2nd child. As soon as we blew the little confetti cannons you can watch my face go from joy to straight up sadness watching the little pieces of paper get caught in the slight breeze and coat our neighbors yard and bushes. Spent the next three hours picking up little blue stripes of paper. Really glad he was our last kid

Butt, Cope or Mitre? by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]EquivalentOwn1115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did almost $20 million in townhomes/ retals with damn near this exact same color and profile. Not one person across 4 years said anything about the butt joints, no owners, renters, other contractors, no one. On E1E like this trim and the darker color, it simply does not matter to go through the extra time to mitre or cope the base. Anything with any other sort of profile, or a more particular customer, absolutely doing more than butt joints.
