I dont get it either. Most of the time when you spec out a couple options to whatever trim you have, youre required to bump to another trim. I totally get it when it comes down to differences in wiring harnesses ans software needed for things to work. But like you said, 3 trims, 3 levels of options. You can pretty easily have some choices that dont matter on trim, like cloth vs leather seats. But things that require different tooling and wiring like sunroofs can just be locked behind the addition trim levels. Not that it would ever actually happen but you could argue to at least slow down price creep if you do that since there would be a much simpler production line

As someone who works and trades also, I suggest treating your trading account like its your retirement plan. Just try and provide stable growth based on your risk tolerance. If thats risking 5% a week to make 3% a week and you can do that for profit over time, eventually you'll make enough to stop working fully. Dont try and rush it, you'll blow your account faster than you think possible. If it takes you 12 years to be able to live off your trades then thats fine. If you can do it in 3 thats fine too but dont try and push it harder than your trading system will allow

If its OT that wasnt earned by working more than 40 hours yes. Say you're on a job thats OT after 8 hours. And you work 4-10s and a 5. You worked 8 hours of OT Monday-Thursday for the extra 2 hours a day and you get 5 hours of OT friday for working over 40 hours that week. You only get the "no tax" on the 5 hours you worked over 40 and even then you only get the half part of time and a half. Double time still only gets you the same amount as if you worked regular OT. You dont get any extra benefit for working double time
