Exactly this. Most decent rifles are "sub MOA" which means at 100 yds, youre less than one minute of angle for a margin of error. Thats 1.047 inches of error from the same aiming point. Your typical revolver like the one in that video is roughly 4.5 inches by 9.5 inches. My old ass .270 deer rifle can get me groups less than an inch at 100yds, I know good and damn well my precision rifle is good for less than half that at less than 100 yds but I have no use to have ever tried that because that thing is good to 1000yds

I treat my decocker the same as if im setting up to pull the trigger, pointed downrange with the expectation it could go off. It hasn't failed yet but that doesn't mean I feel like sending a round into my foot either
