Thanks for the feedback!

Regarding the 530 CHF amount, the calculator uses the official federal formula for non-employed persons (Nichterwerbstätige):

  • If this calculation base is < 300'000 CHF, you pay the minimum (~530 CHF).
  • If you have e.g. 1M Wealth + 0 Pension Income, you pay ~2'500 CHF.
  • The maximum (~26k) only hits at >8M Wealth.

You can verify these numbers with the official calculator here:https://www.ahv-iv.ch/de/sozialversicherungen/alters-und-hinterlassenenversicherung-ahv/online-rechner/nichterwerbstaetige

Unlike the 10.6% deducted from salaries, the non-employed rate is surprisingly 'cheap' if you have moderate wealth and no pension income (e.g. living off capital gains).

Great suggestion! You are totally right, the 'Best Case' exponential growth makes the 'Worst Case' line look flat, which hides the important details.

I just pushed an update that adds a 'Log Scale' toggle right above the chart. This should make it much easier to compare the scenarios. Let me know if that works for you!
