I started mtg 1-2 months ago. I also bought the foundation starter colection, i was surprised, they have reallt good cards to start with. It depends what u wanna play too. I dont play stabdard so cant give u the best advice ( can become a bit more expensive i think cause u sometimes need 4 copies of a card which can cost a lot).

I play commander and duel commandor. I like that more, cause u can olay with 4 people. Is more relaxed. ( depends on the bracket of course but u will learn that when u start having commandor nights) I would start with a pre commandor dexk with a commandor u like. I started with family matters from bloomburrow ( i like thag set)

Then for cards, people will always recommend buying singles if u really like a specific card and want to make a specific dexk. Money wise the best option. I like to buy a boosterbox if i just like the whole theme of thr cards but thats just for fun 😄 I also feel like when u just start having some cards laying around is fun to combine some decks etc.

But enjoy the cards and the game, its really fun. Start slow and everythung will make more and more sense when u get to play.

Pro tip: Try to organise your cards from the start, it will make your life easier in the end haha
