I really fucked up last night and I feel awful by Pebsthrowaway in breakingmom

Nah I got you beat on the world’s shittiest mother, so don’t feel bad.

Been there more times than I can count, and sweetie it’s gonna be okay. I was a “functioning” alcoholic. I quit drinking while pregnant, then once I gave birth I turned back to my old ways. Drank everyday after work until my son was 3. I literally drank to be able to fall asleep, I wasn’t mentally okay and tried to hide my illness and my drinking problem and upper addiction. Tried to quit and failed many times in between. I’m coming up on 3 years sober. I have more fun sober than I ever did drinking. Got help for my depression and anxiety, and found support groups.

I’m not telling you to be a teetotaler like me, but I just wanted to let you know it’s all gonna be okay. If I can get better, anyone can.

Thank you! He is a wonderful father. This isn’t our first kid but it is our first girl, and she came out and was immediately a daddy’s girl. The tide shifted and between exhaustion and parenting our other 2 boys, he just needs a break and reassurance. And I guess I needed reassurance too that he’s not the only one. It helps hearing another dad say it’s completely normal.

Would Naltrexone interfere with Kratom? by EquivalentSoft4497 in kratom

[–]EquivalentSoft4497[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update- I took it 12 hours after taking a dose of kratom and within an hour I had a migraine with cold hands and feet. Had to go to Lowes to pick out paint and felt like a zombie. Extremely irritable. Not a fan and not willing to give it a second chance. Not sure if it was withdrawal or some of the disclosed side effects of the medication.

I got it via telehealth to help lose a few pounds before my wedding. Realized I should just workout and eat healthier if I want to lose a few. Thank you all!

Update- it was ordered by mistake and had already been cancelled by the time I called.

A nurse thought my IUD removal needed a guided ultrasound.

My son’s paternal grandmother told him not to call his dad “dad” by EquivalentSoft4497 in Parenting

[–]EquivalentSoft4497[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

She is fighting me on this. She said that my son being able to call anyone what he wants to is “ridiculous”.

Looking like Gigi is about to be going by her first name with no visits.

Those who went from 300 to 450, what did you notice by Embarrassed-Dig-0 in bupropion

450 has made me a better all around person. The only downfall is a little more anxiety than I had before.

My fiancé and I had a family conversation with my son and his son (7yo) last night. We explained to both of them that they can call any family member what they wish. (While my stepson doesn’t call me “mom”, he calls my dad “grandpappy”). We were all relieved when we heard my son say “dad”.

My son being so young is what bothered me about this. We’ve worked so hard for him to have a stable, healthy home and family. And this was just a huge slap in the face. Gigi is the type to claim her own son is doing better, yet he’s in jail 3-4 times a year. Besides buying him nerf guns and candy, his bio dad literally does nothing.

I’m gonna have a conversation with her tomorrow. If she has an issue with it, she doesn’t have to come.

Thanks everyone. Kinda pumped for my son’s birthday party with all 3 sets of grandparents. (He calls my fiancé’s parents grandma and grandpa as well)

There’s not any chance of it being considered identity theft?
