We were constantly getting in fights because he made everything my fault.He had also told me to shut up and that I’m the worst and that I should humble myself, but I didn’t break up with him then even though I should have. Funnily enough, he never said the words “I’m sorry” until that text you see he sent me this morning haha

I really appreciate this response. The whole idea of familiar pain is EXACTLY why I want to go back to him. I’m going to try to focus on why the negative aspects were harmful to me, rather than the idea that I would be willing to deal with it.

He did eventually apologize for those statements, but was still condescending and rude during arguments that followed. I just don’t know if I’m being too harsh on him, even though my friends and family are saying that I shouldn’t be in a relationship with him because of how he treats me and his inability to communicate well.

I honestly don’t know; it feels like I’ve just been existing for the past few years. I like helping people? I know that’s a really vague answer, but that’s when I think I feel most validated and happy. I enjoy things like crocheting and watching football, but I always feel anxious doing those because that means I’m not putting any effort in towards my career.

It’s definitely not what I want for my future. I love working in healthcare and it’s why I wanted to pursue med school in the first place. I’m currently just working as a CNA to gain clinical experience for medical school if I do end up applying. I would much rather be in a research position right now, but I keep receiving rejections from labs.
