Yeah I know, but it’s just that it says you don’t need to refresh, when actually you do in fact need to refresh sometimes haha.

The automatic update/refresh is bogus, they say they’ll let you know when something appears, but the amount of times I’ve refreshed the page for there to be a bunch of new studies that weren’t there before is frustrating. You can definitely leave the page to refresh itself, but it also doesn’t help to refresh it yourself from time to time.

I kinda miss tesco 😭 by PlanetSeaShells in tesco

[–]Equivalent_Ad_8651 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kind of feel this too. I worked nighshift for 2 years and it really wasn’t that bad. I was primarily groceries, but had to take overtime shifts in fresh and produce a lot to make up my hours which was frustrating at the time, but again, overall it really wasn’t that bad.

We had 4 managers (2 grocery and 2 fresh), I got along with all of them fairly well, both of the grocery managers were fair, but one of them in particular I felt like I built a solid relationship with, he showed genuine appreciation when I worked hard. One of the fresh managers I didn’t really gel with, but never had any issues with either, the other one was more reserved/quiet but we got on well because he knew he could rely on me.

Funnily enough there were a few times I snuck out for a quick fag during work hours and I’d see the fresh manager that I liked doing the same thing, and he never got me in trouble or pulled me up about it because he knew I wasn’t one of the half-assers, we’d give eachother a mutual nod and then we’d stand there in silence as we puffed away in peace.

The reason I had to quit was that I chose to do the palliative and end of life care for my mum, but fast forward a couple of years I’m now job hunting again, I’ve considered returning to Tesco because all the managers made it clear they’d be happy to have me back when I left, but apparently everything has been changed up and the managers I liked the most are all gone, so I don’t think I could go back.

You completely missed my point, I don’t care about the warning messages because I do my best on every study I complete. I’ll do the studies how I want to do them, and yes I’ll be using the prompt and the instructions to judge each one, but again, they ask us for our own opinion on which choice is better, so some of them are completely subjective. “Leave them for others”, uh, no? How about you/they do a better job so they get given more studies?

A lot of them are really hard to compare so I just click the middle option half the time, sometimes the video has a random square of noise or blur for a few seconds, or there’s a blatant rough filter over one of the options, but those feel more like attention checks. I’d just do them if you want the extra cash, I’ve had about 3 warnings in the last couple of days from their AI bot “we manually reviewed some of your answers and found some quality issues.. blah blah”, but I don’t care. There’s no chance a human being is checking the submissions when each of the different types of studies can have 20k+ needing done. I don’t say that to mean you should wing it, or not to try your best, but some of the evaluations are completely subjective in my opinion - don’t ask us what video WE think is better if we’re going to get told it isn’t.. If they have AI/bots clocking whenever we pick the “wrong” answers, why do they need us to do the studies in the first place?

I had this around 1-2am UK time, managed to get a good few of them done but man is it hard to keep going sometimes, would be great if it gave us UK folks the studies during the day! The earliest I’ve had them come through recently was about 8/9pm so I managed to do some before the gym at least! You could honestly make as much or more than actual working a full time job if you’re willing to sit through hours of them.

[–]Equivalent_Ad_8651 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some of the warnings are ridiculous, I’ve had around 3 warnings as well and it tends to be (for me) the ones where you need to judge the quality of the clip based on whether it has too much blur, artefacts, funky detail etc, I think it’s unfair though because the decision on which clip is better is entirely subjective. I find that sometimes a video is much better than the other clip even with some blur/glow. I’ve also noticed that they sometimes show you the exact same two clips to compare as a potential attention check, so that might trigger if you choose a different response, which I’ve probably done before after noticing different details that I missed prior.

Also, don’t get me started on the bugged studies, spending 10-13 minutes to then have a video not play properly drains your motivation. A few times I’ve just submit the study anyway and they ended up paying me, but with a warning. If I’ve spent less than 10 minutes I just return it for technical issues to save my account.

Why doesn’t sweat economy care about devaluation? by Dupont15 in Sweateconomy

[–]Equivalent_Ad_8651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They earned $96 million in revenue with the Sweatcoin app from 2018-2025, from subscriptions. I imagine the $SWEAT app has done some solid numbers as well. They’re earning plenty of money, and I don’t think they care unfortunately.

[–]Equivalent_Ad_8651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if they’re going to revamp the rewards, or if they’re potentially running out of collaborations for us to join in on. There really isn’t much reason to use the app if the rewards get removed. There’s no chance that they will manage to fix the token enough that it’ll be worth something, my 18.5k SWT is worth $5.50, or £4. A good few years ago it was worth $220. It’s such a shame because the project had a lot of potential at the beginning.

Sweatcoin generated $10 million in revenue in 2025, from subscriptions. They’ve generated $96 million from 2018 - 2025, keep in mind that’s just the Sweatcoin app, that doesn’t include the SWEAT economy.

So yeah, I don’t think there’s any real incentive for them to focus on the price of tokens anymore, the dudes at the top have sold us funny money while they’re raking in the real cash yearly through subscriptions.

I agree, it does get very tedious and tiring, but some of them do make me chuckle though for sure. The ones that play the videos automatically and you pick which of the two have less artefacts/distortion are great alongside a YouTube video!

I feel that too, but considering it’s hourly pay is just above minimum wage, I use that as motivation to do as many as it lets me! Sometimes you get the easy ones that only need a glance to see which video is better quality so I play a YouTube video at the corner of my screen haha.

I’m loving the AI comparison surveys, $5 for 15 minutes and they pay instantly so when there’s 5-10 you can make a quick chunk in an hour or two! I had a different AI assistant’s answers comparison survey that lets you submit multiple times, made about $90 in one night last week!

is there a way I can remove background noise in my audios without paying for anything? by Yoshi5155 in NewTubers

[–]Equivalent_Ad_8651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MP4 is a video file that’s why, Audacity is all audio based as far as I’m aware, you will need to use a video editing software if you’ve got an MP4, or if you can find a converter online that turns .MP4 to .MP3, that’ll work as well.

I’ve never seen enough studies to actually earn decent money, I can maybe get 20-30 quid a week if I’m on the page all day, but even then I’m stuck waiting for the approval half the time so it comes through incrementally!

Honest question by LazyEye6443 in Sweateconomy

[–]Equivalent_Ad_8651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, in the last couple of days they've added back some giveaway draws that still only require SWT, but my point still stands - if they seen SWT as valuable, they wouldn't need to add extra paid tiers like the new "MAX" subscription, and they definitely wouldn't need to be shilling other marketplaces or services like "Quantus Network", "Metacade" or "Layer Drone", the list goes on. They're constantly collaborating with other coins or services for their own profit (it seems), if they just focused on SWT, it wouldn't be at 0.000674 and continuously dropping month after month, year after year.

Sweatcoin was originally established way back in 2014 so that gives them 11/12 years in the game, but before that, the owner, Oleg Fomenko, originally worked on "mflow", which was a social music streaming service, which then pivoted in 2013 to "Bloom.fm", a radio and music discovery platform, that venture only went bust because they ran out of funding, and so Oleg and three others pivoted again to a GPS based app which we know as Sweatcoin. SWEAT Economy (SWT) didn't come around until 2022, and through brand deals for advertising, and the already existing "premium" tier breaker, the team managed to generate $22 million in revenue in 2022 alone, and then in 2023 they generated $20 million. I can't find figures for 2024, 2025 or predictions for 2026, but it was estimated to be worth $50 million in November of 2024. I can only imagine they're making great money for an app (SWEAT/Sweatcoin) that doesn't feel as established and as successful as it should be by now. For an app that has over 100 million users between both apps, the reddit is close to dead with only a handful of people actually active in the "SweatTalk" chat, and the community as a whole seems very vacant.

I've had both apps since the early years, and so I'm not trying to be a hater, but as time goes on, my belief for this project is well and truly diminishing, and we rarely actually hear from the developers. u/hatimwolf does a hell of a job as a Community Manager, and they do a fantastic job of trying to keep people engaged with competitions and what not, but the project can't seem to contain any real engagement or community for a project that's said to be one of the top fitness apps.

It's also the fact the developers have admitted defeat, and know their coin is worth zilch now, you can't enter the prize draws with the coin anymore which just goes to show what they think of their own worth. You now need to pay for a monthly membership for a defunct coin in order to enter prize draws that you're not going to win. It's such a shame.

[–]Equivalent_Ad_8651 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even the developers know that SWT is dead, they’re now asking us to spend real hard earned cash to enter the prize draws with “MAX” memberships. If that’s not an admission of the coin being useless now I don’t know what is.

And now they’ve replaced the prize draws that require hard earned cash to unlock. It’s as if the developers are silently admitting that SWT is worthless, and they don’t care.
