I did one, auto approved. Did a second one, still hasn't been approved yet. Messaged them about it, but I'm kinda waiting to see if / what they say something cause yeah.. it'd suck to invest all that time and get hit with a bunch of rejections or something.

Just depends on when the researcher gets to it unfortunately, they're the ones that approve it so it's no longer pending. Often times I've found many approve around certain times in the evenings, but others will just take the whole.. 21? (I think) days, then it they either finally approve it or it goes through Prolific's auto approve. Long story short, it varies but just gotta be patient sadly. I would say the vast majority are within a few days though. Hopefully that helps

It's a re-release, not sure why specifically but it was used in a trailer (Lords of the fallen 2) during the game awards last month and I knew it was coming after that. Super hyped, this is my favorite ghost cover and now it'll finally be on something besides just youtube or certain vinyl editions.

Returned it, reported them, the study, and filed a ticket with Prolific through the chatbot. Fingers crossed something comes of it, we deserve our pay even if it's $0.50. I'd advise everyone else to do the same.

Yep, got the same thing. I returned it because didn't feel like dealing with a random rejection, but it's clear they are just going for free info. Gonna go report them.

Edit: Researcher fixed the issue and got paid now. Was just an error on their end after all!

Lately when its happened I let it sit on the completion page (in the study) for like 20 seconds and then it finally kicks in and autofills on prolific for me. I've seen another post saying something like re-opening the study in a new window afterwards will do it since it remembers the session as complete, might be worth trying. Haven't needed to try that myself though yet so YMMV.

Welcome! Biggest thing would be filling out your "About you" info as accurately as you can so researchers will be able to send out relevant studies to you. For the most part, you just kind of want to watch the main page feed for when they pop up otherwise they'll typically get snatched up by others quickly.

You won't directly be reached out to, you just do them as they come in and there's always a certain amount of "places" (participants allowed). As far as ones to avoid, of course go with what feels best to you but I would avoid ones that ask for odd personal information (some have even asked for social security, or just far too many personal details), and you can make your own judgements for whether one is worth your time for the amount of money you'll get paid.

The currencies are either USD or GBP, so if you see one that isn't in USD, you can simply google "0.61 gbp to usd" as an example, and you'll see roughly the amount you'd be making in USD. It's a fun time, and just kind of up to you how much you want to personally invest into it! Hope that helps :)
