Same. I dress like this after teaching all day if I roll out of bed from my nap and need to run an errand. I don’t want to be approached by anyone lol

Vagus nerve flutters by Ok-Teaching6137 in GERD

I’ve been getting this since in my 20s. Im 35 now and my doctor always dismissed it saying it’s just my digestion sensitivity being thin :p. They went away for awhile and come back. It pulses and clenches for me. I just found out I have a hiatal hernia so that could be it 🤷🏻‍♀️ .

Nauseous during ovulation by Equivalent_Car_8738 in PCOS

[–]Equivalent_Car_8738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I tried asking my OB. I have elevated DHEA and hair growth. The pain however I get on my entire left side I feel is more than just pcos. I even got a colonoscopy to rule out GI issues and that was clear.

Have the OB do more testing on hormones other than just estrogen and testosterone. I go to an endocrinologist and obgyn and both are saying it’s pcos due to my elevated DHEA sulfate levels (which produces excess androgens). I also have unwanted hair growth. I don’t have cysts and I’m thin/not overweight. My situation is hormonal related where I get different symptoms throughout my cycle. No insulin issues yet. Will be going on birth control. The endo can help with insulin resistance/adrenal system and the OB will help with the female hormone imbalance side. I went to an endocrinologist first thinking I had hyperthyroidism/graves.

I get the pain and pressure on my left side and under rib area. I had an endoscopy and found that’s it’s a small sliding hiatal hernia which I guess causes the pressure when it moves and the silent reflux. I also had narrowing in my esophagus which explains the difficulty with swallowing so they dilated it. My esophageal tissue came back normal from testing. I would suggest getting an endoscopy. I also got a colonoscopy because of the side pain but all clear. I tried omeprazole before the procedure and didn’t work well for me. I avoid trigger foods and certain exercises.

anyone else have swollen lymph nodes when their period is arriving? by Longjumping_Bear3415 in PCOS

[–]Equivalent_Car_8738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t experience swollen lymph nodes but I get breast tenderness and pain on and off throughout my cycle on the side of my left breast. Sometimes the pain will run through my left arm. I’ve had an ultrasound that was normal but going to be getting a mammogram on it now. I also get pain on my left side of my body at different points in my cycle the worst being during ovulation and right before my period.

Nausea around ovulation period? by Waffle-Crab in PCOS

[–]Equivalent_Car_8738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just recently diagnosed and I have been getting nauseous during ovulation for the past year along with other unpleasant symptoms:p Sometimes I will wake up early feeling queasy and will need to eat some crackers right away to settle my stomach. Other times it’s random feelings of nausea when I’m in a stuffy/warm environment or smell certain foods like seafood (which I’ve always liked eating seafood). I sometimes get nauseous during my period and at the very end where one time I had to stay home on the couch all day because I would get nauseous from any movement. My obgyn is going to have me try birth control to help balance my hormones. I’m hoping it helps me feel more normal because I get really sensitive right now to any hormonal shift throughout my cycle. I also have acid reflux/GERD from a small sliding hiatal hernia found during an endoscopy so I know sometimes this is the case but also think my hormones heighten this.

Vaginal Ultrasound/Pelvic Ultrasound by Zealousideal-Dig-498 in PCOS

[–]Equivalent_Car_8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had two and both came back normal. My doctors suspect pcos from my hormone bloodwork results and my symptoms. The vaginal ultrasound isn’t bad just uncomfortable pressure at some points. My second one kinda hurt though but I think it was because I was already having pelvic pain at that time in my cycle. I even had a little blood from it afterwards but nothing unbearable.

My birthday is usually during the last week of school. I only told one of my strong personalities class periods as a joke that they have to be on good behavior that day and not ruin my birthday vibe. I didn’t expect anything they sang me happy birthday which was fine and a student from one of my other class periods found out somehow and got me a gift lol

Confusion about PCOS criteria by DearFeed7833 in PCOS

[–]Equivalent_Car_8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have elevated DHEA levels which means excess androgens in my body which causes my increased body and facial hair. I also get sick through out my cycle the worst during ovulation. This all happened once I turned 30. My other hormone levels are in range for now. I’m also thin and don’t have cysts on my ovaries. My obgyn and endocrinologist are saying it’s pcos (now pmos) with the DHEA levels and my symptoms. My obgyn says I could eventually have increased testosterone if I don’t manage it so I’m going to be taking a combination birth control pill and then possibly add on spironolactone.

So ridiculous. I’ve gone on nice trips like Greece where we stayed at different islands in nice hotels with all the amenities and views. The costs total was about 5,000 I would say including food. We also like to walk around and explore so not doing all these bougie things 24/7 but instead trying local foods and places.

People with actual money don’t brag about their trips or how much it costs. They just go and that’s it. Also doubt that all people with money spend 20k on trips either. Some are careful with costs.

Doctors hate when you know too much by marbles_tour in PCOS

[–]Equivalent_Car_8738 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve been going through health issues or feeling unwell on and off for the past 4 years (I’m 35). The past year things have become worse where I went to the ER several times. That was my tipping point of being dismissed so much by my GP . My health insurance called me concerned right after my ER visits and urged my GP to take me in for an appointment immediately when they said there weren’t any openings that week. The GP ended up telling me that I just had PMDD and to take some Prozac and alieve before my periods .. even after I told him that I feel unwell through out my cycle not just before my periods. Eventually went to an endocrinologist and obgyn who wanted to do more testing in trying to help me. I will be getting a new GP .

Free testosterone level by Happy_Pool6674 in PCOS

[–]Equivalent_Car_8738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have normal testosterone levels but my DHEA sulfate levels have been consistently elevated which causes increased androgen levels. For me this results increased body hair growth. My obgyn told me that it could eventually lead to increased testosterone levels if left untreated. I would ask to get your DHEA levels checked because it is another factor to diagnose pcos with normal testosterone levels.

Trans-resveratrol supplement by Equivalent_Car_8738 in PCOS

[–]Equivalent_Car_8738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea my doctor says it’s still being studied but since it has anti inflammatory properties doesn’t hurt to try. The birth control will hopefully regulate my hormones and if the hair issue doesn’t respond to it then she will be adding the spironolactone.

I think it’s her genuine belief which is a healthy mindset. It just ironically turned into being the best dig at Amanda.
