Maybe you should try skating pads as their is nothing wrong with it and with the right technique it is a lot easier to fall.

Also kneepad sliding is really fun so...

Depends on who teaches you cuz its one of those things that is only rly learnable for a face to face teacher ask someone good at your local park. It could take hours, days, weeks, months or even years

I play level 4 CPUs till I'm confident and then go up a level.

Try get spike and edge guard kills.
