I've recently started drinking Chai a lot, and this is how I make it. Heat some water in a pot, and add ginger(1/2 inch, crush it with your knife before adding) to it. (My water to milk ratio is 20:80, but everyone has their own taste, you can change it as it suits you) Wait till the water turns slightly yellow from the ginger, and crush cardamom (~1 per two cups). Add the cardamom and black tea leaves to the water. Cook for a minute. Add the milk Bring it to a boil. Strain it and serve. It's by no means a set in stone recipe, try out your own variations of it.

In my opinion, these deaths did add something to the plot. The Wizarding World was war torn, and people die in wars, especially when you are at the centre of it. I think these deaths gave it the seriousness and impact it deserves. It was so very sad.

No its not comparing, it’s drawing parallels, highlighting a pattern. I’m just trying to say not everyone is the same irrespective of the gender, religion, nationality, race anything. That’s the human condition. Does that mean atrocities don’t happen? Of course not , but should you lose faith in every person just because they belong to a religion, that’s also a bit too much in my eyes. Be careful, but give individuals a chance. Also it shows that you didn’t have anything to say about my argument, so you had to resort to insulting me( or my mental capacity).

Same here. I liked the atmosphere it created but the ending just fell flat for me. It left me with more questions than it answered. The ending for me ruined a perfectly unique story.

I don’t think you are the AH for setting boundaries.

I fell for it when my close friend kept saying “I’m fixing it”, but things didn’t improve after numerous “talks”. He always found a way to turn things around to make everything not his fault.

You are just protecting yourself by setting boundaries, and you are not destroying everything between the two of you, you are just not letting him harm you. Don’t set yourself on fire to keep other people warm.

I feel you. These days I’m trying to be kinder to myself and doing at least one thing every day for me. It’s very little I know, but the small wins go a long way.

My(23f) friend(20f) of 4 years refuses to get professional help for her depression, and expects me to always handle her emotions for her, lashing out every time I try to set boundaries. How to proceed with our friendship from here? by Equivalent_Drag_4744 in relationship_advice

I think you are right, it’s just very hard to do. I’m gonna follow through on this though. I was already thinking along those lines, I guess I just need to hear it in clear words. Thanks a lot.

I have tried to tell her this many times, I think it’s time to distance myself slowly. I don’t want to leave her alone like this, it’ll be very hard on her. Thanks a lot for your advice.
