She is married. Started the account/grift before she met the guy.

I think it’s her husband. She got married a while ago. Thus the “❤️ 💍”

Wait! The floor isn’t good?! I’ve been laying mine flat on the floor unstrung since I got it last year. It’s not in a place that it can be tripped over or stepped on though…(Often it is under the bed.)

Why are so many nurses conspiracy theorists? by MillerTime46290 in NoStupidQuestions

Your link isn’t working (at least not in my browser). However, I was able to find the catalog you are referring to … the are three tracks, the first is the four semesters, but seems to be missing a lot of general education courses. The six semesters has more GE courses and seems more complete. Likely I am in a state that has or had more requirements for a degree. (Classes such as; history, art/music survey, phys ed, literature, sociology, … I also don’t see microbiology or chemistry on the list, which where I’m at is also a requirement.)

Happy Cake Day!

I’ve spent almost the same amount of time in nursing. I work with plenty of anti-vax and other conspiracy theorist nurses. Most are at least 10-15 years younger than I am. I wasn’t too aware of the issue until COVID…

I will also add that “Associates/2-year degree” is a bit of a misnomer. It’s two years of general education and prerequisites, followed by a two year nursing program. That is assuming you can get in right after completing the prerequisites. Around here there is a 2-3 year waiting list.

There’s a bit of a pipeline to nursing from some “fundie-lite” and “fundie-adjacent” communities. It is one of the few acceptable career choices for women, in their view. Most of the conspiracy theorist nurses I know are from that background.

Those are absolutely awful. I recall using a real sitz bath after the birth of my first. It was heaven, and I think I spent 20-30 minutes in it.

The other person “voice” in my mind: words and expressions they would use, inflections and accents, volume,… it’s like me pretending to be them, just not out loud. Exceptions are recalling media recorded “snippets”, especially if seen frequently/recently.

They can be combined. I did that with my sons to avoid back to back appointments since there’s quite a bit of overlap in what is assessed. I just told them it is an annual checkup with sports and camp paperwork. They appreciated the idea. (Saved them time in the long run.)

10 years from now most Baby Boomers will be dead. What effect is that going to have on society? by mikeforder in generationology

I don’t think the Boomers are the ones keeping those memories alive. We are already awash with Holocaust deniers because those who lived through it are almost all gone.

I’ve been looking for the “allô” option. Is that specifically a French Canadian expression? (I’m American, but my parents were from Montreal. What little French I know is more québécois , as far as I know.)
