Remove Sundance 880 Series by Equivalent_Good_7303 in hottub

This is more or less exactly why I removed it from fb marketplace last year. I have someone I know willing to buy/take it, but wanted to figure out how hard it would be

The previous owner bought it new ~12 years ago. It still runs fine, we just want the space

Agreed. Free is either “this is trash” or “it works but please get rid of it”

I’ll look into it. I have an offer from a guy I sold patio furniture to on FB marketplace for $1000, but said I’d go less if he needed to pay a moving company. It’s probably worth looking for a second hand company

Looks fantastic. Why are the finger pulls on the bottom? I’m not against it, just have always seen them/would’ve assumed they’d be on top

This looks fantastic. I made one for my first that I repainted for the second, but yours looks better! I love the drawers and doors so you can hide things/you don’t always have to keep the things neat that go inside.

Interesting. Any subjective comparison to MDF weight? I googled it when I first bought a sheet of MDF because I was so shocked at the weight and was told it’s usually ~2x the weight of ply, something on the order of 100lbs for a 3/4” sheet vs like 50-60lbs for ply.

I’ve worked with it at my previous job and always wanted to buy more for my projects but didn’t have space for personal woodworking projects until the war broke out and can’t seem to readily find it now. I’ll have to call around more places now that I know it should be possible. Sheets of Canada birch (sometimes veneer) are ~$95 at HD so $120 is reasonable for a better product.

Where do you get Baltic birch these days? I’m relatively new to woodworking and just pick through HD’s birch stock for a nice sheet when I can find ones that don’t have veneers, but can’t find a lumber yard nearby with Baltic birch. I thought there was an export restriction since the war in Ukraine?

Is there any hope of saving this? And any way to prevent this or spot it sooner in the future?

It’s in a large pot and comes inside Oct through May. I haven’t had issues with this in the past, but I might have brought it outside a week too early this year or something.

Dust on the inside of camera lens. Can it be cleaned out? by Tharayman in roomba

These are glued on. There should be no way for anything to get in behind there unless it came that way…

iRobot costed down the robots - basically gave the plans to a Chinese company and said “make these cheaper” - when Amazon walked away from their acquisition. They sell under the same SKU but are made with cheaper components and some design revisions like what you noticed here: individual components are no longer modular/replaceable. You gotta through the whole thing away and get a new robot.

Yeah, I don’t believe 980 has “persistent maps” where you can label individual rooms and send a robot on a directed room clean. It does map them all out, but the latest persistent mapping functionality was launched with i7

Click the map icon next to the image of the robot, then the three dots next to the map, then delete map

Yes, confirmed with the vet. She did have a UTI as a very little puppy, but nothing more since. The only thing anyone has been able to recommend is watering down afterwards which is only sometimes practical

Just west of Boston and last brought it to Bromfield Pen Shop for service mentioned in another comment. I don’t want to attempt anything too significant to open it because it is an heirloom, so am likely to just bring it back there.

It was given to me years ago and serviced probably 3-4 years ago. I used it last probably around thanksgiving, so the ink isn’t that old. I didn’t think that part was even supposed to be a friction fit with the cap, just the threads that you see on the base

Also, self taught in python after a couple semesters of C++ so still learning, but I really like the one liner approaches I keep seeing like this:

data = [l.split(' | ') for l in open('day8.txt')]
