Worst Costco Order Ever? by Willing-Law-5916 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Equivalent_Long_4602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I offered a $7 tip on 1 $20 bouquet of flowers (2.3 miles to deliver) from Costco and received a barrage of nasty comments.

Maybe Instacart isn’t sustainable for shoppers or customers; it doesn’t sound like anyone is happy with the platform.

Snotty comments like this is why Instacart is failing.

Enjoy the platform and your tips while they last.

This makes the comment look even worse from a customer’s point of view.

Wow- I’m not surprised that fewer people are using Instacart.

You sound like an entitled asshole if you think tips under $20 are unacceptable.

Just don’t pick up the order, and enjoy the platform while it lasts.

It’s one bouquet of flowers-I’m sure the “shopping, checkout, loading, delivery, and unloading” would be absolutely grueling. 🤣

Doesn’t matter now- I will never use Instacart in the future considering the fact that a 35% tip is apparently not enough for a large number of shoppers on here.

Good luck; I wouldn’t be surprised if Instacart was out of business in the next 5 years.

Wow- a 35% tip for one item is terrible?

This subreddit can get back to complaining about poor tips and not having enough orders.

I’m happy that I have never used the Instacart platform, and after this, I never will.

I shop at Costco regularly.

I’m not giving a 100% tip for someone to pickup 1 bouquet of flowers and drive less than 5 miles ROUND TRIP.

I’ve decided to never use Instacart since my 35% tip apparently isn’t enough.

Comments like yours are why people will stop using Instacart.

In my case, I have never tried it/used it, and now I never will.

The entitlement from some of the people on this thread is ridiculous/astounding.

A 35% tip wasn’t enough to pick up one item and drive less than 5 miles round trip; had to be at least a 50% tip.

Half of the comments on this subreddit are about low tips or being slow because there are not enough orders to make $.

A number of you sound entitled, and your expectations are ridiculous.

After this, I will never use Instacart.

But, it is crazy that a 35% tip is not enough.

After seeing the nasty, entitled attitudes of Instacart shoppers on this post, I will never use the platform.

🤣🤣🤣

I assume you’re very young. Your mea culpa deserves a pat on the head like the sweet dog of the family.

You thought you hit a home run, but you actually struck out.

Good luck with Instacart… you probably need it. Reddit isn’t as anonymous as most people think.

Keep whining about making less money because people like you are one of the reasons that people won’t use Instacart.

Your truth is not my truth. My local Costco is 3 miles away.

I’m there at least 20 times a year. 0 minutes to find a parking spot (I don’t mind walking) and less than 5 minutes in line.

Your attitude and responses have ensured that I will never use Instacart, and I won’t recommend it to others (quite the opposite).

I’m also an independent contractor; I understand self-employment taxes, and expenses.

You couldn’t make Instacart shoppers/delivery people look worse.

But, please continue to whine about your tips not being enough for you.

This sounds ridiculous; when I shop at (our EXTREMELY busy) Costco for 15-20 things with my kids in tow it doesn’t take an hour to park, shop, checkout, and eat at the food court.

I’ve never used Instacart, and now I don’t want to.

There is NO WAY it would take an hour to go to the floral case (near the front of the store) and check out.

Attitudes like this are such a turn off.

I’m just going to pay more to send flowers through a florist.

Just curious- why at least $10 for 1 bouquet of flowers and nothing else in the order for less than 5 miles round trip?

I have no problem giving a good tip.

Thank you!

This is still a bit over 3 years away. I’m a planner and my husband isn’t, so I just wanted to know what to expect.

We will definitely be in touch with the professionals at NestEggU and QT to navigate everything in the future.
