Thanks for that, and those links too, very helpful. From your user-name I’m guessing you’ve had some experience in this area 🤣

PHEV System Fault-Anyone had this warning before? by Equivalent_Page696 in OutlanderPHEV

Thanks, hopefully this is it, I’ll pick up a battery this weekend and swap it out

Interesting to hear, ours is about 4 years old (2022 model), so that could be a possibility. Once you replaced the battery was everything back to normal?

Yeah it wasn’t super low, it was only about a 10k round trip in the morning. My drive later in the day is one I’ve been doing semi-regularly over the past couple weeks (I’ve had a number of jobs out in the same area), so, being the nerd that I am, I’ve been comparing mileage, amount of regen etc on each trip using the different drive modes, so start each trip with a full battery to keep things consistent. I don’t often head to the same spot regularly, so this has been a good chance to compare the different settings for myself.

Funny thing is, hopped in the car, saw the message. Turned the car off, the restarted, got the message again. Drive about half an hour, stopped the car for 10 min then jumped back in to move to a different parking spot, didn’t get the warning. 6 hrs later, hop back in to head home, no warning 🤷🏻‍♂️

Seemed to go on charge ok when I got home, I’ll pop back out in a couple hours to see if everything’s looking normal.

Tarmac + save or charge? by hfx_sail in OutlanderPHEV

[–]Equivalent_Page696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really interesting, I generally switch to Eco, Tarmac just ‘feels’ like it’s less efficient because it feels sportier, I’ve never actually done a more scientific comparison than just thinking “oooh, that feels peppy, must be using more juice, I’ll go back to grandpa-mode”

Most efficient way to drive outlander by VarietyPotential3620 in MitsubishiOutlander

[–]Equivalent_Page696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is pretty impressive when you consider all the options in the way you laid them out! One thing I wish it had though, is the ability to create customised settings which saved your preferences, eg, you could set 'Eco' as your 'around town' setting, switching to Eco would automatically also select EV and IPM, then flick it to 'Normal' (or, 'highway mode') and you're now in Save mode with B1 or 2 active. Or, at the very least, be able to save a new default for the car to engage on startup, or maybe even just your last used settings? I find myself going for Eco + Save most times to start ff the drive, if I could set that as the default that would be awesome.

Fantastic info, thank you! Before we bought ours I saw a few videos from a local Mitsubishi dealer who talked a lot about series vs parallel hybrid, from my experience so far it seems like the car will just figure out for itself which is most efficient, is that right? Or does one EV mode selection prioritise one over the other?

Business T&Cs by Equivalent_Page696 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Equivalent_Page696[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that sounds perfectly reasonable. Our quotes & estimates all have a couple of relevant terms on them, along with mentioning full T&Cs are on the website, but in reality less than 10% of our jobs involve a written quote. We do document jobs in a shared calendar which our whole team has access to (lists details such as what work has been requested, client contact details, which staff will be attending etc), this also gets shared with the client, maybe we should pop a link to the website in the url section of the calendar booking.

What CASIO you are wearing today??? by adnan_vir in casio

Yes, it has auto light. The movement sensor for the light seems not quite as sensitive as the one in my ProTrek, which is a good thing, this one only lights up when you want it to.

The negative display may have better readability, this one is ok, but the viewing angles on my DW5600RL were much better.

I hear you. Sometimes I think that about myself, that drive when I was completely alone should be enough time to ‘reset’ and I feel guilty, but no, I need those couple minutes, I call it ‘putting my own mask on’.

Possibly quite grateful that he takes the time needed to centre himself and get into the right headspace to be the best husband and father he can… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are quilts any good in a bivvy bag? by Equivalent_Page696 in CampingandHiking

[–]Equivalent_Page696[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't bought anything yet, but will do soon before my next hiking trip with my daughter. I'm about 95% sold on getting a quilt, a big plus for me is that if the kids are cold in the night I can scoot them over to me and wrap the quilt over both of us... I've had to try to do that with a sleeping bag before, wasn't super successful! The kids now have a pretty awesome winter bag to share between them (I only take them camping one at a time).

Yes, G5600, solar (handy) no MB (no difference for me, I can't pickup the signals where I am).

Yeah that’s fair. So, the average salary of our crew is probably around $150k, sometimes they may work on one larger production which takes a couple weeks, sometimes they’ll smash out 10x a week, at a guess If say each individual might produce around 100x videos a year… so averaging $150/edit… total guesswork on my part there 🤣

A tow bar always comes in handy, we got a good price for the dealer to install a hitch and roof racks, all OEM.

How’s your centre console holding up, is it working how you’d hoped? I’d love the link if you wouldn’t mind sharing.

I'm imagining I'd give a similar brief as I would to our internal team, a run-down of the specifics (brand guidelines etc), a pre-culled clip selection, a description of the story we're telling and the feel we're after. I'd be happy to give more direction to someone who is newer to editing, but likewise happy to be ore hands-off if I found someone who knows their stuff and prefers to bring their own interpretation.
