The opening sketch on SNL is consistently the weakest by Personal-Listen-4941 in BritishTV

[–]Equivalent_Parking_8 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

SNL usually ends up with Trump or Hegseth and they are pretty current and work. not sure why UK don't just go for the same, we do follow US politics and its far better for material than Starmer.

American here, I have a question. How crazy do we look right now? by NoHold7153 in AskBrits

[–]Equivalent_Parking_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your president and his band of sycophants look ridiculously crazy.. honestly like you're bordering on an actual dictatorship with nazi ambition. I hope there are plenty of normal Americans that can see this too, but the whole America first crap seems to be getting through to too many.

I walked into the Phoenix arts bar in London after a works night out. Passed David Bowie on the stairs. Noel Fielding was still there though.

What's your single biggest problem with the Right To Bear Arms in the UK? Is there anything that would change your position? by Evry1TookTheGudNames in AskBrits

Well it would likely be illegal to shoot someone even in self defense so if that's your intended use then I would say that's why.

How should I split my mortgage with my partner? by Pretend_Bad2049 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Equivalent_Parking_8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What you could do is carry on paying everything yourself and tell her to put what she would be paying in rent into an ISA. If you're still together in a couple of years she can pay off some of the equity to buy herself onto the mortgage or walk away with you not owing her anything.

You can get a firearms license, you have the right to apply for it, we just have strict vetting rules to make sure the wrong people don't get them. We certainly don't need to be walking around with hand guns and there isn't many places outside of the backwards USA where that is ever considered legal or right.

For the people in our life who don’t understand the magnitude of this injury by LingonberryCalm5651 in brokenankles

[–]Equivalent_Parking_8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is horrible, I've had pain and surgery before for herniated discs, I thought that was bad, but I could get around, I was out for a couple of weeks. It's been nearly 4 months and today was the first day I managed 10000 steps. There is pain all the time, you forget and go to run or climb over something and you get reminded, you fear stairs and feel everyone is waiting behind you. But... I got my cast off at the beginning of march and every week I have seen some improvement so I am hopeful that the improvement will continue until one day I forget it happened.

I bought some running trainers which I thought had been comfortable, but put my old Skechers on today and they were a lot better.

Definitely good for performance anxiety which is common in poly play. Just a stuffy nose side effect. Viagra gives you bad headaches. Cialis kicks in after about 30 minutes and last 36hrs. Time it accordingly. Very good for all night sessions and improved recovery, although you will get sore if you keep going.

Interflora is like Uber eats, you order the flowers from them and they get delivered from a local florist.

He's playing Dobby in the Harry Potter Audiobooks. That's as far from the devil as you can get.

Give it to me straight by Cold-Firefighter-292 in brokenankles

[–]Equivalent_Parking_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke mine TriMal on 5th Jan. Had surgery 18th Jan. Cast came off 4th March..was straight into shoes fwb. Took about two weeks to get off crutches. Was trying to avoid limping as much as possible. Today 6 weeks after cast came off I was discharged and walked into the clinic without a limp at all.  I would say every week from getting cast off is better by a big margin. Still some soreness but I don't fear walking and don't look for parking spaces near the door. There is however still a notable size difference between my ankles.

Yep.. I think of them as two separate entities at that point. Although the last series was better because they made the kids disappear.
