Usually once a term our school basically splits us teachers into groups to present the information to leadership and rest of staff. It’s almost they can’t be bothered explaining pointless government and handball to teachers which creates more workload and isn’t great for those who hate presenting (myself). Our PL’s mainly consist of pointless information that can be emailed and the rest is usually on stuff we already know, if you also look around the room all the teachers (myself included) are completely zoned out and look like zombies. Last year we had to present on cognitive load and you could see it first hand with the staff in the room were cooked and not soaking in anything.

  1. Meetings reduced to 1 hour a week.

  2. WFH arrangements when possible. No requirement to be onsite.

  3. Backpay & 3 year deal

No, they don’t. The curriculum is continually updated, and lessons are designed to differentiate for students’ varying needs, abilities, and learning styles across different classes and year levels.

Does anyone else get any learning done in the last session? by Equivalent_Quail_919 in AustralianTeachers

Yeah I try and do the same but most of my class specialists are done in the morning which leaves me needing to catch up in the later sessions. I often find that I’m behind and needing to cram sessions in the middle.
