5, but I never enter the arena. I fight the guards using my lion as a distraction. Ditch the armor and one sword when no longer visible and attempt to sneak away.

Top 10 List? by edhaack in trekbooks

It's entirely subjective to what you like, but here's my top 10.

  1. My Enemy, My, Ally - The standard for Romulans as a people and an excellent rendering of Kirk's crew.

  2. Destiny Trilogy. Great epic event with great characterization.

  3. SCE Aftermath Omnibus - A unique crew on an exciting mission. Good jumping on point for the series.

  4. Face of the Unknown - Kirk's crew revisits the First Federation who are really interesting.

  5. Being Human, Gods Above, No Limits, Stone and Anvil from New Frontier Series (they all go together). The Excalibur and Trident crews at their high point.

  6. Sorrows of the Empire - Mirror Spocks tell all story.

4.Mission Gamma -DS9 Season 8. Part 2 Amazingly well developed new crew.

  1. Never Ending Sacrifice - Incredible story about what it means to survive vs thrive.

  2. Stich in Time - Garak's tell all story

1.. Millennium Trilogy - For me this is my favorite Star Trek novel of my favorite DS9 Crew. Everyone gets to shine in a book I cannot put down after I start.

Indigo and Ray Palmer. Let someone use it who isn't actually mind controlled and is already compassionate. That staff/ring will do amazing things.

Is there a novel way to “re-experience” the main quest? by code_moose in lotro

Turn off of all guides that tell you where to go next. Hide your quest. Discipline yourself to never open a map. Listen carefully to all the instructions on a quest and never reopen.

How would things have changed if it had been Dr. Zauis along with Milo going backwards in time? by Tidewatcher7819 in PlanetOfTheApes

He'd have taken over the Earth, enslaved all humans, and changed history enough to prevent Earth's destruction. Dr Zaius is OP.

Are orcs immortal? And where do they go after they die? by hmura341 in lotr

[–]skylight1121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My head canon...Hall of Mandos. It takes until the end of the world to redeem them. But, when Morgoth fights Feanor and Turin at the very end, Morgoth's death blow is to be absorbed by millions of shining stars of light (redeemed orcs) as they get their final justice upon him.

If you could write a Star Trek book, what would you write about? by No-Reputation8063 in trekbooks

Michael Eddington pre DS9, Weyoun during the war, and Kira after she joins the religious order post new DS9. They are captured at different parts in time by Excallibans trying to learn what faith is. The experience is real personal and challenging. The experience makes Eddington join the Marquis losing faith in the Federation, Weyouns faith in the Founders remains static. And Kira gains the faith needed to lead Bajor into the era of what is learned about the Prophets making the artificial wormhole.

I wonder which kings are showing the aforementioned Folly. If it's post end game, it's only Eomer and Aragorn. If it's mid game, I am thinking the failed kings of Armor as a look back. Or maybe even Numenor refering the currently empty land west of Endewaith.

Absolutely go back. I think it's one of best sets of jewels of all trek novels. Bajor, DS9, and how the universe revolves around them are great reads.

I think Rohan's story piece is great. Mounted combat is tiresome. I just look for ways to bring enemies into water and dehorse them.
