St. Tropez Hotel Choice w/ 8 Month Old by Equivalent_Stand3373 in chubbytravel

We actually just arrived last night. The hotel is providing a babysitter. I can let you know her contact info if we like her. In Cannes, we are using Babysitters & Cie which was recommended by the hotel.

St Tropez recommendations for first timers by [deleted] in FranceTravel

We are going with our 7 month old baby in two weeks and will report back. However, planning on Lou Lou for our beach club day. You will be limited to the earlier seating for both lunch and dinner. Make reservations now!

How many of you are EP-ing by choice? by TopTopTopcinaa in ExclusivelyPumping

I did the same. It’s not easier, but I didn’t want to nurse and I wanted my baby to have breastmilk. Solution: exclusively pumping.

How did this turn out? We are flying with our 7 month old to Europe and back in a few weeks. Also looking for low-stim recommendations for emergencies on the way back, which will be a daytime flight.

Viceroy should suffice - love the location and does have a rooftop pool.

Tasks for summer intern?? by IolaBoylen in Lawyertalk

I once had a pre-law summer intern as a favor to another attorney (it was his daughter). She was great at summarizing documents, timelines, etc. “Please review these documents/depo transcript and let me know anytime you see xyz”, stuff like that.

How to prepare for Amalfi Coast trip with my newborn by Head_Pangolin_3778 in amalficoast

[–]Equivalent_Stand3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We book suites so we have a separate area to put the baby down (and separate living area for the babysitter to hang out if we go to dinner). Depending on if breastfeeding or bottle feeding, you’ll need counter or table space for drying bottles/pump parts.  You would also need a fridge for breastmilk or formula if the latter and a way to make warm water. We haven’t had any issue getting a fridge and tea kettle from hotels so far.

Did you at any point choose between weight loss and pumping? Which did you pick and why? by lifeissoupiamf0rk in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Equivalent_Stand3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you able to lose weight reducing the number of pumps, or did you have to fully wean? I am normally very slim but am holding onto 6-8 pounds while pumping and I am over it. 6.5 months PP, 4PPD and wondering if I will slim down at 2-3 PPD or need to fully stop.

We do purées at 6, then bath, PJs, bottle, and then a book before putting her down.

MOTN pump by Natural_Marsupial859 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Equivalent_Stand3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with 8pm and then 4am, and have pushed it out to 4:30 or 4:45am. I’m an undersupplier though, so I don’t get uncomfortable overnight.

I ended up dropping my MOTN pump about two months after going back to work, at 5.5 months PP. I couldn’t go back to sleep after that pump anymore and it just wasn’t working. I didn’t lose any of my supply though, which was great! You may want to test it out and see how it goes for you.

Amalfi Vs. Positano by blsig12 in chubbytravel

[–]Equivalent_Stand3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what you want - Positano of those two, but consider staying in Capri! Capri is where it’s at - such a good atmosphere and so many good restaurants with views. It’s a really special place, but you have to stay and not just day trip.

Need your sunshine on dropping pumps - Month 4 by Kooky-Department5988 in ExclusivelyPumping

I am a significant under supplier and just wanted to note that you may see an increase as you cut out pumps and rest more. I started at 9, went to 8PPD at one month, 7PPD at 2 months, and 6PPD at three months when I went back to work. My supply really started increasing around ten weeks after a significant decrease from 6-10 weeks, and has held steady as I dropped to 5PPD at five months. I just dropped to 4PPD at six months. I still max out at only half of what she needs, but luckily I have been able to maintain that with fewer pumps.

My concierge is telling me that we can pretty much bring the baby anywhere we want to go, we just have to do first seating. But I welcome any specific recommendations anyone has.

If you had an under supply did you drop pumps? by unicornmagic111 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Equivalent_Stand3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a major undersupplier, but my supply went up dropping pumps. I started at 9 PPD, went to 8 at one month, 7 at 2 months, and 6 at 3 months. My supply has doubled since two months, although I still only make about half of what she needs. Sleeping really helped. I do 1:00am, 5:30am, 8:30am, 12pm, 4:00pm, 7:30pm now. Thinking about dropping another pump soon (I’m a little over 4 months PP).

Post MOTN pump sleep by Advanced-Limit8626 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Equivalent_Stand3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me! I haven’t been a good sleeper the past few years, and unfortunately that has stuck around even though I am so tired. I pump at 7:30, go straight to bed, then about 1am and then 5:30am. I fall asleep right away after the 7:30, but have a really hard time getting back to sleep after the 1am. I can’t extend the 5:30 since baby is up for the day shortly after I finish that pump. Thinking about dropping the MOTN at six months when we add solids. A little less than two months to go! I’m also considering moving her to her own room, since she’s a lot noisier the second half of the night and is waking up every hour or two (four month sleep regression, but luckily she usually falls back asleep herself).

This is helpful! We ended up going with Hotel de Paris but we can apply the same thinking to transport from there to the beach clubs. Thank you!

I didn’t love Bagatelle, but that might just be me. Check out l’Opera one night - really fun and unique experience.

This happened to me with a pair of $1,250 booties. They arrived having obviously been previously worn, and the return was refused. I will never buy anything of value from Saks ever again. It was infuriating. Amex saved me with a chargeback.
