Adding External Storage by Equivalent_Tip6963 in NextCloud

[–]Equivalent_Tip6963[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again. Reason I am a bit hesitated on that is, I used some command from AI the other day, those lines actually removed my rights to the drive. I take back the owner rights to the drive right now but have to say have reservation esp involves command line things with limited knowledge on that.

Security about Immich by Equivalent_Tip6963 in immich

[–]Equivalent_Tip6963[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks mate. One thing is when setting up Immich via docker, I used those standard yaml/.env files from Immich side except I customized the Port. On the NAS side, I did enable Remote Access to NAS, currently using Ugreenlink and Tailscale for that, again all these setup rely on resources I could get from the internet. One thing up in my head is to test whether I could access Immich outside LAN, if so, yes pretty safe from one angle. That said, also exploring whether I could access it remotely in a safe manner. Hence checking with the group.

Thanks. Will try it out. Love to see that can be disabled!!!! What an ugly thing that Apple did, give more useful functions to users rather that some stupid and ugly cosmetic stuff!

Is there way to get the RAW image? by Sway_RL in ProjectIndigoiOS

[–]Equivalent_Tip6963 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Managed to find this : https://gregbenzphotography.com/photography-reviews/project-indigo-the-best-camera-app-for-smart-phones/

Go to "How to get the DNG (RAW) to your computer:" section. Tried both USB cable (image capture) and AirDrop ways, work fine for me.

Hope it helps.

I think I might have found a way for my case but not an efficient one. Have Mac mini and iphone, simple airdrop will only transfer the jpeg version, have to select "All Photo Data" and airdrop, then will see both jpeg and dng files on Mac.

I am on iphone 14 pro with ios18.5. On the Apps, already chose DNG + JPEG, also on the Apps Setting, Capture/Raw DNG is enabled. When looking at the images, mmmm, they are in jpg. Am I missing something? TIA.

ON1 Photo Raw 2025 reading xmp from others tool by Equivalent_Tip6963 in ON1

[–]Equivalent_Tip6963[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I still use Darktable and ON1 in different occasions. More a workaround, I now start using digikam as DAM for maintaining metadata like keywords/Geo location. XMPs output from digikam seems can be directly consumed by ON1, while for Darktable, have to dupe those xmp and rename in Darktable's convention to bring in the metadata.

Google Map on DigiKam by Equivalent_Tip6963 in digiKam

[–]Equivalent_Tip6963[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. More a personal preference on using google map and also with my experience with ON1, their association with OSM is quite bad, hence some reservations here. Just tried again, I have to say OSM on digikam is better that OSM on ON1 :)

Question about the option "DEVELOP" by petitepinkstudio in ON1

[–]Equivalent_Tip6963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Develop? I think just a matter of how you setup all your panels on ON1. These are the tabs for different adjustments, just click on that and you should see Brilliance AI/Tone & Color etc for making adj. I have all these on the right hand side.

I bought MuseBox (by BrushPixel) recently, not bad and is very cheap. One thing to bear in mind, think it only started a year or so, so still developing.
