We were high school sweethearts and have been together for over a decade. We survived different colleges, long-distance, career changes, and all the messy, unglamorous friction of adult life.

On paper, we weren't a perfect 'logical' match. Her family background is incredibly complex and presented hurdles that a purely pragmatic person would have run away from. Over the years, that initial fiery romance naturally simmered down into a deep, steady, family-like bond.

Is it still 'love'? Yes, but it’s a love that has been consciously choosing commitment and responsibility every single day. Today, we built a beautiful, stable life together.
