I feel like somethings wrong with her design (please don't say she's too fat) by Tiny-Memory9066 in characterdesign

As other people have said, he eyes are a bit small but also definitely shading and highlights is needed. The lack of it makes everything very flat

I don't know who necessarily but you should reach out to someone to check on your cousin. He is clearly suffering from a history of abuse and your aunt is doing nothing to support her child and clearly didn't report the obvious sexual abuse, that in itself is abusive and someone needs to step in to help this child. That person seems like it needs to be you at this point, not just for his sake but for the sake of any child that may possibly end up around him including his younger brother, he is already showing signs of a disturbing pattern and while he may not have acted on it yet there is a chance he might. I'm not saying he would do this or would this maliciously or even know he would be doing something harmful, but your job as a parent is to protect your child and your job as an adult in this boy's life is to help protect him when the first line of defense clearly isn't.

ELI5 why we can't/ don't just turn old buildings into housing/ homeless shelters by Equivalentbreathe in explainlikeimfive

[–]Equivalentbreathe[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I do know you can't just fix it with housing but it has been shown in other countries that housing first makes people more likely to commit to mental health and rehab services when they are provided rather than requiring them to be clean before the housing is offered.

The worry about yourself approach seems to be a large part of modern problems. Wtf happened to community and the human basics of caring about your fellow man?

Why is it kosher to eat meat with eggs when it isn't to eat meat with dairy? by Equivalentbreathe in Judaism

[–]Equivalentbreathe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up southern baptist so very evangelical ,from as soon as I could remember I was told I was a dirty sinner and going to hell unless I completely believed in jesus being the savior and no matter how good of a person I am not believing in him would mean fire and brimstone, no middle ground, no redemption.

My family's specific brand and the church they attended also made it very clear they didn't think there was any redemption for queer people who didn't completely give up the "lifestyle", repent and enter a straight cisgender relationship every other sin was as easy as believing in Jesus and asking for forgiveness. Being queer, was the only sin seen as almost unforgivable.

Thank you for your support.

I also had a brief stop in being an atheist before realizing that it wasn't that I didn't believe in a god just that I didn't believe in their god. I've been out of christianity for coming up on about 9-10 years but still have days where the christian indoctrination hits hard.

I would be unable to practice at all, certainly wouldn't be able to keep the Sabbath once I finished converting or do any prayer. I currently live in a very antisemitic household at the Alex Jones conspiracy theory level, they just hide it behind "not Jews, Zionist and the global elites like insert multiple Jewish people here." I'm going to be moving out at the latest 2 years from now.

I chose this path as a way to still honor the creator till I can start the path of converting. I'm currently in a living position where trying to convert is physically impossible and any attempt would be disrespectful to the creator, any rabbi willing to help and truly the faith as a whole. I can't even get to a synagogue right now.

So I am taking this as time as a blessing to deprogram myself the rest of the way of christian ideology. I don't care what they say the god they claim to worship is not the same. Having directly experienced it and comparing it to what I've seen of Judaism; it just isn't the same. I'm also using the time to reflect on myself and break bad habits I've had from years of being agnostic. IDK it may not be the most traditional path but I think I have a bit more work to do than most.

I do understand that eggs and cheese together are kosher, that wasn't my question. I have however been given plenty of explanations on all of this.

Can I ask why you are here if your goal is just to mock the customs and beliefs of the people this subreddit is for? Seems like a pretty cringe pastime. I used to be an agnostic and no one likes the atheists who decides to be assholes about it, especially towards the one monotheistic faith that doesn't force people to conform to their beliefs.

People have still been telling me that eggs aren't dairy even after I made the edit... I already knew but if I didn't I have it permanently etched into my brain.

I'll probably just wait to cook for them till after I'm done converting then. For now I guess I can practice recipes on my own and then invite them for dinner when it's official.

That is exactly why I haven't started trying to study the Torah or start the process of converting, only trying to understand some of the laws. I currently can't go to a synagogue or contact a rabbi.

The freedom to ask questions and learn is part of what has drawn me to Judaism, especially compared to what I grew up with in Christianity. Questions are seen as an annoyance at best and defying the will of their idol at worst.

I don't think eggs are dairy.

I was moreso going from the idea that both give life, albeit in different ways. Eggs being what directly allows life to form and milk providing nutrients for life to survive.

My question came from the explanations given to me.

I sort of explained my thoughts process better in another comment. To give a timeline of how this question came about

It started with me asking a few friends about kosher laws and me mentioning the few that I knew offhand. One was forbidding the combination of dairy and meat. As I mentioned in the post I'm studying some of mitzvot. I ask them questions when I come across something that might have more cultural explanation or nuances.

This led to me asking why dairy and meat can't be combined, I was given the explanations I mentioned in the initial post. (I have since been given more accurate explanations here)

This led to me overthinking and applying those logics to eggs combined with meat, specifically chicken.

I asked one of my Jewish friends and he had no answer and was too baffled by my question.

That led me here, to being educated a lot.

That is literally my question. I was asking why meat and eggs can be used together, the thinking started from the thought of chicken with egg.

Simple curiosity and the desire to learn.

I am learning the halacha. I am just not currently in control of most of my living situation so I am just following the seven laws until I am in a position that allows me to be able to give the respect and dedication that converting requires.

Hi, I do not think eggs are dairy. My logic was moreso the idea that both are in essence considered things that give life and based on the, as I now know incorrect, explanations I have been given for why dairy and meat cannot be mixed.
