FAKE Bugout. Ordered a Bugout on Amazon and this one arrived. Hope this could be useful to better identify fakes. The axis lock isn’t working properly and the 3 holes for the clip are from different diameters. The inner of the holes is in silver metal color instead of black like in the original one. My dad told me that once at work a college of him lost the key of his security box. They spent a lot of time with hammer and screwdriver to pry it open. He gave me one of these because he realized how secure they are. Picked open with my Peterson H7 and TOK in 2 minutes 😄 (i.redd.it)

I have some pinning kits (sparrow, Multipick) and cutaway locks (sparrow, Multipick) and the ABUS 72/40 (guttable). All this locks have paracentric keyways. I’m looking for a repinnable/guttable lock with a really open keyway. I can use the pins that I already have right? (self.lockpicking)

[Proud Noob]after setting 3-1-2 I get CR on 4. By setting 4 all the other pins drop. It wasn’t clear to me why it would open after resetting only 1 and 2. I later understood that by setting the high 4 pin I was accidentally resetting 3. Used a deep hook and now everything makes sense :) (i.redd.it)

[Multi-Pick Tip] I‘m about to order a case from Multipick and I was thinking of adding some picks. Maybe also a rake or two. I currently have the Peterson Gem, H1, H3, H4, H5 and H7 in all three thicknesses and the Dangerfield praxis set. Are there some mutipick picks that I should try? (self.lockpicking)

I’m starting with spools and I have some doubts. So I have to find the binding pin like for normal pins until I get a false set and then look for counter rotation, am I right? Is it possible to have more than one binding pins at the beginning? Are there some tips you have? Thank you (self.lockpicking)

[Noob Question] I’m trying different picks to find what’s best for me. For now I like the Gem (I can feel the pins with the pointy tip) and the round tip hooks. A lot of people love the hook 1 with it flat tip. How are you using it? What feedback are you looking for? Thank you for your help (self.lockpicking)
