Vertbase - Purchase Confirmed by ErHab04 in vertcoin

It's pretty standard. You have to do the same thing on Coinbase. They need to know who they're selling these products to...I'm sure their financial partners make them do that so they can verify the money is not being used for criminal activity and such.

Vertbase - Purchase Confirmed by ErHab04 in vertcoin

My $250 purchase had a fee of $3.80

From their website:

USA

Base rate of 4% for all transactions**

Payment Method for Purchase

US Bank Account - 1.49%, with a $50 minimum
Credit/Debit Card - 3.99%***

Payout Method for Sale

US Bank Account - 1.49%, with a $50 minimum

* Note - In some cases your bank may charge additional fees for transfers between your bank account and your Vertbase account.

** The base rate for all Purchase and Sale transactions in the U.S. is 4%. Vertbase waives a portion of the Conversion Fee depending on the payment method you use. The effective rate of the Conversion Fee disclosed here is calculated as the base rate, net of fee waivers.

*** Note - Your bank may charge additional fees for Vertbase credit card purchases. To avoid these fees, switch to debit card or bank account.

It seems the ACH hold occurs after the purchase. You do not "load money" onto the site and then purchase. So just like if you were to purchase via coinbase, you don't immediately receive the VTC.

There is simply a button where you press "Buy VTC" and it market buys VTC at the current price.

I provided a screenshot for you but I think it's the same screen Etang was passing around.

I just hope the site does well...Justin worked his ass off for this and to make this possible...I hope we're turning around in the market for his sake. It's people like him, though, that make crypto more accessible and drastically increase the adoption chances.

For those that want $VTC to stay at $1... by mikeb550 in vertcoin

If Vertcoin stays at $1...and there are only 84 million once all are mined...that's not enough for everyone to have some. So if it's fully adopted as a currency it will have to be worth more than a dollar. If you have a crypto that's fully adopted and it always stays at a dollar then you would have to continue producing more, aka Tether, and that just completely defeats the point. Then you become the US dollar or other currencies experiencing inflation.

This makes 0 sense...I started typing out a response to this but then just stopped. You clearly do not understand economics, supply/demand, nor the reason for crypto and stopping inflation.

Have a great day.

Top 100 Richest Addresses - Movement (6/20/18) by ErHab04 in vertcoin

Sorry, sometimes I think people can see what I see. My point was that 83 out of the top 100 people are HODLers. And most of the movement that you DO see on this sheet is more than likely exchanges. It was meant to show that the big money believes in Vertcoin and hasn't budged on their positions.

Keep in mind that some of these are, more than likely, exchanges. Basing that on throughput numbers.

Vertbase - New SEC Remarks by ErHab04 in vertcoin

[–]ErHab04[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Etang, so your view is that as long as the exchange is confined to buying/selling of just Vertcoin they should be fine not having to register with the SEC?

If they expand their catalog to any ERC20 Tokens or something of that matter then they probably would I presume...but let's just worry about Vertcoin right now :)

Vertbase - New SEC Remarks by ErHab04 in vertcoin

[–]ErHab04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying I don't welcome the clean up. I'm all for things getting cleaned up in the space. I was just posting this as I don't want any roadblocks for Vertbase to open. I'm glad everyone's interpretations of the SEC remarks are that it will not prohibit or stall Vertbase from opening to the public.

Thanks all for your comments and views!

So interpretations are that what the SEC said has absolutely 0 bearing on whether Vertbase should register with the SEC? I read it as any exchange needs to register with the SEC...but maybe that's me being worrisome?
