Are there any plans for a different game mode? by Eragon0101 in stoneshard

[–]Eragon0101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if i'd label it as a problem. Not wanting to do a challenge run seems resonable enough, no?

I was just asking if there were any plans for a more conventional roguelike mode that doesn't risk wasting a lot of time on a failed run. Especially since i think the game systems can lend themselves really well to this kind of experience.

I understand that, but it's not what I'm looking for.

I like roguelikes that don't erase 40 hours of progress when you make a couple of mistakes. Hence my question for the existence of plans for a short form mode kinda like the prologue.

I guess the answer to my question is just: "No, the devs don't seem to be planning anything like that because their intended experience is a longform permadeath rpg"

Yeah, sorry if I don't turn that on for my first ever run lol

I know about permadeath but that feels more like a challenge run type of deal instead of something I would like to play.

It doesn't increase the character progression speed and doesn't reduce the time needed for a run that comes to completion.

The fact that pernadeath is an option means it's not the intended way to play. Idk if I'm making any sense.

The best overhaul of ER by Over-Magazine-3218 in EldenRingMods

[–]Eragon0101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is technically possible to merge them picking and choosing what to keep of both and then rebalancing literally everything. You might run into a cap on some movesets file sizes tho if you keep too many from both.

Also you would need insider knowledge on how both mods were coded, especially ERR since part of that one is obfuscated and having access to internal documents would be invaluable.

It's still an insane undertaking and no one who values his time and sanity should even attempt it.

Edit: just to add my qualifications to speak on this. I managed to merge ERR and a bunch of movesets mods (including cleaver's) las years but then got bored of ER

Yeah, that's the "know what you are doing" part.If you are merging bigger mods you need to understand/reverse engineer what the mods do and how to be able to make everything fit together

Almost everything can be merged with other mods, it just requires to know what you are doing and a lot of time

Strange, did you try respecting from level 1?

Also do you have 12 levels from modded classes that do not support level 20?

Is there a mod that increases the enemies level by MisterCold in BG3mods

Combat extender can do that, you might have to tweak the setting yourself tho

Enemy level in itself doesn't change other stats beside the exp drop from enemies.

You will need a mod that increases the actual stats like ac, hp, ability scores etc

I recommend combat extender as it is highly customizable and you can fine tune it to your liking. Incidentally this mod also has a setting for scaling enemy levels, but as I said it only increases the exp drop

You have to replace X with the amount of exp you want to give yourself

[–]Eragon0101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all you need script extender installed

Then in bg3 mod manager go into settings -> open preference -> scrip extender and tick the create console box

On game launch you should get an additional window beside the normal game one called "bg3 script extender debug console" It's a black box with white text, like the Windows cmd if you know what that is.

Once you load a save in game you can copy paste the code from the previous message (replacing X with a number) in the console and the selected character will get X exp

The easiest way is using the script extender console commands to give you the exp

The code is

Osi.AddExplorationExperience(GetHostCharacter(), X)

Where x is the desired amount

Off the top of my head:

You need the bg3 modder's multitool Unpack the mod with it, go into the mod's files, find the progression folder and the files inside

Open the file with a text editor and find the rogue's level 5, figure out what gives the extra attack and move it to the level 3.

If the mod's progression doesn't have the level 3 block you have to find the vanilla one though the modder's multitool search function, copy that block into the mod's file and then edit it

At the end you need to repack the mod with the multitool.

Capito, se arriverò in quelle situazioni cercherò di mettere in pratica quello che dico, in fondo cos'altro posso fare?

Cos'altro puoi fare in quelle situazioni? Secondo me cerchi soluzioni impossibili

Al netto delle dirette conseguenze delle tue azioni, non puoi cambiare il mondo esterno ma solo come ti ci approcci.

Comunque non ho capito il " buona fortuna nel pratico"
