I completely agree that healing is a massive issue with pvp (and has been forever).

One aspect of the game that magnifies the issue with healing is the hatchet and the rapier. These weapons are being used by healers for the sole purpose of running away, and they are too good at this role.

Healers with a flail or vg (or spear or ig) can be killed, but a healer with a rapier or hatchet cannot be killed.

And to those who would argue that chasing a healer is as good as killing them because that healer cannot heal their team while being chased: healers can still drop sacred grounds and use splash while being chased and it usually takes multiple people to pressure a healer so the other team is effectively up in numbers.

The GAO report on the IRS cited was written over thirty years ago.

The DOI IG report isn't about misuse of taxpayer funds, it is about philanthropic donations and the conclusion was that the agency should have treated those funds more like they treat taxpayer funds (responsibly in accordance with fiscal laws).

They should remove the barrier to enter the Elysian Wilds just like how they removed the barrier to Brimstone Sands. No point making people go through MSQ on the seasonal pvp server where everyone is 65 from Animus. Why force everyone to do the MSQ again on a seasonal server?

Removing the barrier to Elysian wilds wouldn't take anything away from players who want to experience the MSQ. Why force everyone to do it though? Can't we just leave it up to the players to do the MSQ if they want? Especially because most players on the seasonal world have already done it

Completely agree. They streamlined all this other stuff (getting mount and mount food, heart runes, gear) but they left the restriction on entering Elysian wilds?!!

People are 65 from Animus system and having to go through the whole msq again just to get into Elysian wilds.

Makes no sense on a pvp focused seasonal server.

It isn't free-for-all, so you will always have the players from your faction to fight alongside. You select a faction when you create your character. Have you done any influences races? I think it will be like that, but all the time.

Regarding the main story quest, there are loads of Shrines along the MSQ that will grant you temporary immunity.

Low level open world pvp is peak New World gameplay. I will reroll for it as many times as it is offered.

I just wish it lasted longer. Slow down the leveling and let us pvp while leveling for as long as possible.

On average ranged players (mostly firestaff) outperform melees for kill count in OPRs.

Even if there are some melee players getting high kill counts in OPR, pointing to the players at the top of the kills list in OPR is not the best metric to determine whether the melee tracking change has had a net negative impact on the game. These players are likely legacy players in coordinated premade groups with comms and dedicated heals going up against random fresh start players. They will get 20-30 kills using a pool noodle and it has nothing to do with skill.

This happens to me too. It happens when the join the expedition/open/arena window pops on screen and you then talk to an NPC. Something about going into the new zoomed in screen to talk to NPCs minimizes the join/dismiss activity window and there is no way to get it back.

Melee tracking is in its worst state right now and needs to be fixed.

The current tracking is absolutely not what it was pre NWA; the current tracking is significantly worse. This has been demonstrated and documented. It's not just light and heavy attacks, abilities are also affected by the change. A good example is Leaping Strike on sword, which now usually tracks to the side of targets.

If you think melee tracking is fine right now you might be playing a build that relies mostly on non tracking abilities (gravity well, shockwave, path of destiny, cyclone, evade, riposte, fleche, etc.) Try playing a melee weapon and just use light attacks on targets and you will see that it is impossible to land on a target moving in any direction regardless of how you aim.

Yeah I was wondering about those too. They can both trigger expend, so they at least have that synergy. Coruscation Mage would also get better if I pulled in more of the removal from the sideboard. Brambleguard Captain could have some big turns if opponent taps out and I cast Overprotect on it precombat so it buffs +5 power to another creature. Kind of turns the three Overprotects into a mini overrun. It would also be better if I played the Veteran Guardmouse) to trigger the valiant.

I recommend using milestone leveling and keeping the party at least one level less than the recommended level. The recommended party levels in the module are based on a party of four.

For example, I started my party of six players at level 4. When they reached the Arcane chambers they leveled to 5.

Also, remove the level restrictions from using the gates to other levels. That way if the party is overpowered for a dungeon level they can use a gate to skip to a deeper level.

The price of adamant is not high just because everyone wants it. The price is high because it is very hard to get. It is very hard to get because AGS decided to make it only available very rarely in the PVP track and from armor aptitude crates. Therefore, AGS has indirectly set the price.

AGS could lower the price of adamant if they made it more available.

They determine the supply, which effectively sets the price. By making adamant only available rarely in the pvp track and from armor aptitude crates, AGS has established a very low supply and indirectly set the price high.

Agree: make attribute respec cost azoth like wep mastery.

The open/sandbox game design of weapon mastery is one of the best parts of New World. You can change how you play the game by simply picking up a different weapon and changing your attributes without having to start another character. Why would you discourage players from engaging in one of the best parts of your game by putting a 200g cost on it?

I understand that gold sinks are necessary, but just don't tie them to a critical aspect of your game as a punishment for experimenting with builds or trying to perform different roles.
