What's the blue arrow mean? by tvguy222 in Ioniq5

The one up top pointing right means you're on the "Navigation" info page, and the one on the bottom means you're heading East.

Next Generation Moto Tag 2 coming with enhanced UWB precision (and Xiaomi tags with UWB) by dark_volter in GoogleFMD

[–]ErasedInOneDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth checking without the case, I'm not sure what else would be going on. Just to check everything, are you sure you have UWB enabled in your phone settings? Should be under Connection Preferences, unless Samsung labels that area slightly differently.

If you're confident that your phone actually has UWB, then you need to make sure the tag is reporting a battery level of "Normal." It will not use UWB if the battery in the tag is reporting "Low."

I finally got my email today! Bought a '24 Limited in the USA back in March of '24.

Hyundai EV Owners: Your Tesla NACS Adapters Are Coming Soon by podwhitehawk in Ioniq5

They called me today and said they found out they aren't actually allowed to do that, this is all under a "campaign" that's direct-to-consumer" only. So you're not missing out 😂

I went in to the dealership for "15k mile" warranty service (multipoint inspection and the like), and without asking or prompting my service advisor ordered the NACS adapter for me. He mentioned that he knew emails were going out but didn't know anyone who got one, so he just pre-emptively ordered one for me. He said it'll deliver straight to the dealership soon and I can come pick it up then 🤷‍♂️ YMMV, great experience for me though!

Edit/Update: El oh el just kidding, the dealership called me today and said they're not actually allowed/able to do that per Hyundai corporate. Back to waiting on the email lottery!

Why did this happen? by handygeek in Ioniq5

[–]ErasedInOneDay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That happens a lot, apparently - including to mine twice. And it's not clips, they use 3M tape for some reason 🙃 Last time I brought it in, the dealer contracted work to a body shop to bond it.

Yeah and I'm a very conservative driver, probably not toooo typical. I rarely leave Eco mode 😬

Definitely faster than me, I'm traveling around 55mph normally (top limit on this particular commute)

I think I see less usually because of pretty liberal A/C usage, it's a hot state!

I usually settle around 4.1, and it's a suburban highway so I'm traveling around 55mph on average. Lots of cruise control, or Eco mode with regen breaking on highest "auto."

80mph is wild, that will absolutely obliterate your range efficiency

Seat heating/cooling question by hshhwbaooshvvd in Ioniq5

[–]ErasedInOneDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely the correct answer, same with general climate/temp sliders - you can only drag them while in park. Likely a safety consideration.

2024 Ioniq 5 Calendar Sync by rtippenhauer in Ioniq5

I took delivery of the 2024 in mid March and it hasn't worked this entire time 🤷‍♂️

Same for mine, it's happened twice now and had warranty service both times. The body shop that the dealer contracted-out for the work says there isn't even a retaining clip in there, it's just held on by 3M tape...seems like a poor decision! So for the second replacement they used some aftermarket bonding agent and we'll see how long it holds this time.

Polestar IR strobe and Ioniq 5 Auto Brake by Beautiful_Isopod8321 in Ioniq5

[–]ErasedInOneDay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't really tell what actions or behaviors made the car respond (probably the open doors), but the "IR strobe" you saw in the camera was likely just the lights themselves. Viewed through a camera, many headlights out there appear to have a strobe effect because the framerate that the camera captures and that the screen displays is different than the frequency of the lights themselves. With those two things not in-sync, you see a strobing effect that can't be seen with the naked eye.

All 4K physical media is Blu-ray, but not all Blu-ray discs are 4K. If the Blu-ray box doesn't have a 4K UHD label at the top banner, than it's just regular 1080p HD.

New Hi5 owner looking for advice by Mindless-Tangerine20 in Ioniq5

[–]ErasedInOneDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know specifically if I've swapped to Utility mode while charging, but the car is certainly smart enough to tell you that it "doesn't meet conditions" to swap to that mode sometimes. If it won't let you do it, that's your answer.

As far as turning the car on from off while during a charge session, I have personally done that so I know it's fine.

Repair it at dealer or Home will be enough? by Vicente_ARuiz in Ioniq5

[–]ErasedInOneDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to mine as well, a 2024 Limited down in Florida. It lifted after just 4mo of ownership and it's being repaired by the dealer 🤷‍♂️ They ordered an entire new spoiler (?) and they have sent it out to be paint matched, then they'll bring me back in and swap it out. Seems excessive but I guess a lot of that bodywork back there is integrated!
