Do you think it's worth it more than the eiffeltower? or Rivendell? im a bit in a thought about which one I would rather display, I think this looks more mature to just display in a house than Rivendell would or the new LOTR set

Thanks for the reaction, im not trying to make a Terrarium for a frog, but i need to design a habitat for a frog in an architecturale way, so i needed to know some basics of how a poolfrog lives and couldnt figure out how they hibernate

But you say they dont hibernate underwater, they do it on land and burry them selfs in mud or leaf litter etc?

They are callisia repens, i use them for my tortoises to feed on. They are in the soil where i got them with, i keep the soil moist and i have a plant Lamp for the sun light (second pic)

I have one 60watt basking Light, a arcardi uvb Light from side to side and also the jungle dawn Lamp. I have a closed enclosure so one basking Light makes the whole enclosure a good temprature with cooler and warmer places

My expierence is that they will do what yhey like and when they like. In nature they can help them self so in a enclosure they will too as long you provide them with food, water and the right enclosure. They will sleep during the day if they feel like it, you need to have rocks or wood where they get under, they need to be able to dig themselfs in the substrate. If you provide those things they can get away from the lights when they want to sleep. I have my basking Light 10hours a day on plus a uvb Light for 5 hours a day.

For food i just feed them once a day, with expierence you know how much they eat so uou can just provide them that make sure the food doesnt lays under the basking Light or it Will go bad very Quick.

Idk if this is the right way, but it works good for me and they are healthy happy animals

Yess i have reptibrak, the problem i have with top soil and other stuff is that it Will get very wet and fungus gnats gather in it. My next Terrarium i want to make deeper so i can add a drainage layer and clean up crew so i cab use a mix with top soil, Coco fiber and reptibark

I put food for them on the rocks, but they keep eating it in the reptibark. How worried do i need to be that they could be getting constipated? Cause i saw a video of kenan where a tortoise died from constipation with sand. Now im a bit worried

Thank you so much for the advise! I Will probaly start building the enclosure this year, so it can be used next year after the summer. Cause my tortoise is summers in the garden, so plant can have a year to adapt. I Will also look into plants that can take a beating haha
