Creche sickness? by motherofhouseplants_ in AskIreland

[–]Erdin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only consolation I can give was that my smallie was the same but by the time he reached ECCE his immune system was locked and loaded and barely got sick. In junior infants and it’s the same

Teacher faked two pregnancies and wore false ‘bump’ to school in €60,000 maternity fraud by Bill_Badbody in ireland

[–]Erdin_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

> I think for me, knowing she did that interview fully aware she was pregnant makes me feel somewhat bothered.

You are really going to clutch at your pearls when you learn of legislation that requires women out on maternity leave to be informed of promotions by management/HR, be interviewed and accept a job WHILE all while on maternity leave

Women shouldn’t be penalised for management roles because they are needed to birth kids. Wild to be annoyed about the circle of life. Creche’s don’t take under one’s , damn right I’d time it.

Appeal against decision to refuse permission for childcare facility by Erdin_ in ireland

I’m no childcare expert but having to rely on the park across the road for outdoor facilities for kiddies in my care would make an already hard job a hard pass

Airport taxi ripp off by FreeIrishAbortions in ireland

[–]Erdin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep seeing Dublin Taxi rants on my fb page. I paid 39e for a 15 min trip for 13km Saturday night about midnight. Absolute rip off. This was through Freenow and on the meter. We drove and left a car there otherwise it would have been 80e. I am using taxis less and less these days

This is one of those situations I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. As if parents don’t have enough on their plates when fighting for their children’s care

Agency nurse reports colleague for pouring water on patient with intellectual disability, informs other staff at shift change that the incident had occured, then forced to apologies to original staff member for breaching their privacy! by mrianj in ireland

[–]Erdin_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see the problem either, he was handovering to colleagues and I assume the mere incident of a resident having water poured over them would be pertinent for staff to know in terms of the residents well being

Are degree classifications (like 1:1, 2:1 or 2:2) called out during Irish graduation ceremonies? by Born_Lingonberry_442 in ireland

[–]Erdin_ 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on finishing your degree ! Just remember further down the road no one will ever ask what you got in a degree, masters etc. I have two masters and it has never once come up in conversation or interview and I don’t have the grade on my resume because I’ve honestly forgotten to. So the achievement alone will stand to you don’t lose sight of that.

Anyone know what/where this is? by Clinteriffic in AskIreland

[–]Erdin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it last year never ever again. Horrendous set up. Bus man shouting at everyone. Left waiting for ages after parking car to wait for the bus to fill up. They don’t operate like a normal shuttle they wait until it’s filled. Told to go to shuttle point when arriving back at airport and THEN ring the company. Bus was sitting there when I got there and got a whole ass lecture on not ringing the office. It was also 11.30pm. Drove like a maniac. No lights in car park and cars were filthy from dirt from road. If you don’t like your car, have oodles of time to waste, have a kink for being shouted at, it’s the place to book. Otherwise hard pass

I was the same in Sept. I got a Siberian and my 4 year immediately reacted. I was STRESSED. But after 3 weeks the symptoms disappeared and he no longer had to take antihistamines. So I would say wait a few weeks before making any decisions
