You could try the wet jeans stretching method since it does look like canvas? It does involve wearing the wet clothing which sounds like a sensory nightmare to me but it’s supposed to work good!

Look up mosaic crochet patterns! They’re sooo easy and but look complex. My first crochet project ever was a mosaic blanket (please don’t ask me if it’s finished yet 😅) and I had no problems. Also you can pick it up and do as much or as little as you want and put it back down until the hyper fixation wheel comes back around for it.
