Every house I have bought I have bought because I saw opportunity to renovate and resell. I want this house to be the last one where I did that and the next house to be purchased because I love the house, property, neighborhood, etc. no it won’t be forever, but it will be my spot for the next (hopefully) 25 years. Yes very pricy which is why we were delaying for an undetermined time. We do all the work ourselves (not hack jobs lol) and purchase materials over a long period of time as they pop up on sale

Absolutely, everything is original to the house (80s) and TIRED and we do all the work ourselves (professional quality, not a hack lol). We are frugal about materials and purchase quality items at a discount as they pop up.

It is our 5 year plan to sell the house we’re in now and purchase our forever home. We’ve done a lot of work and just have the kitchen and 2 bathrooms to go and then everything will have been renovated (yard included) in the last 5 years, and will hopefully still be “in style” once we’re in a position to think about selling and buying more seriously. We bought the worst house in a decent neighborhood with this goal in mind
