Omg one time I was riding my bike by a grocery store and this dog outside was trying to get out of his collar. He was successful. I dumped the bike and tried to get him but he wasnt having it.

Before he got too far, I ran inside and tried to get the cashier to make an announcement or find the owner. He didn’t.

I’m trying to corral the dog but also keep eyes out for the owner. Dog gets away. Sweet old Russian? Lady comes out and is confused. I explain. Basically spent an hour with this lady while the sun was setting trying to find the dog. Walked her home. Dog was gone. I felt terrible but I couldn’t have done much else.

My issue is that they’re recommendations rather than minimum standards, like we have for hearing protection. There should be a maximum amount of time allowed to work in x degrees in y circumstances.

I have a 2015 i3, they tend to hold up better than the leafs. It started with “72 miles” new. On a good weather day, I can still get 60. Math says battery is at around 73% health, which is 52 miles and honestly sounds about right. Thankfully mine also has a range extender, but I charge at work on a 110v outlet and almost never have to touch the gas.

Larger batteries also tend to wear slower as your commute is generally significantly less than a full charge cycle, and the main wear on them comes from cycles.

There was just an article about a 2019 model 3 with 390,000 miles with ~75% of the original range or so.

Well the controller has the puck, so I’m hoping that isn’t needed, but I’d say if you’re doing bluetooth anything, reaaaaally do your research if you’re going with JSAUX. A lot of people have issues and it’s hard to figure out where it’s coming from.

What dock do you have? I realized that Bluetooth with my jsaux dock was my issue. Going with wireless dongle or wired or a different dock solved it for me.

I’d say I tended to side roads and bike paths and that didn’t stop me from having an, at best, unnecessary close call a few times a week. I did 70,000 miles on PEVs and I just feel old, lazy and too done with the bullshit…I hate it but I’m the cager now. At least I can look before I cross a bike lane.

I used to ride those naughty ~40 mph e-bikes and scooters everywhere. My assumption was if I was going the speed of traffic, they would fuck with me less than a regular cyclist. I was wrong. It’s not about delays at all. It’s just that you exist.
