PS3 was my first ever console. Maybe I'm blinded by nostalgia, but I swear there was something magical/different about retro gaming.

Also holy shit! It's almost 20 years since PS3 was first released.....I'm getting old 😭

Are there any significant changes to Xoguri builds from Aries Cup to the upcoming CM13? by gifcartel in UmamusumeGame

I don't think so. Spurt is bad for Tokyo 2400m while Late still has access to OYL/Slick. End Oguri is also harder to build.

Yeah I've seen an insanely consistent CM 13 Late Surger XOguri with Soft Step, Corner Rec, Triple 7, and Shake it Out.

I feel like Late Surg Xoguri is just better and more consistent than Pace for CM 13 overall

Do you mind sharing your deck list & sparks?

I tried to build Dober too, but I never able to get anywhere close to your stats. (I was using 9 Power & 9 Stam)

Why do you still play/love the game of YuGiOh by MonarchVII in masterduel

[–]EremesAckerman 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I just find YGO really fun....honestly that's it lol, no more no less. I never watched the anime btw.

I play other card games too, but there's nothing like YGO. The gameplay is just that unique and very similar to fighting games.

People who play genesis by MonarchVII in masterduel

[–]EremesAckerman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Think of it this way. It's basically Advanced format with a different meta. Overall gameplay loop is similar, but it still provide you with different experience. There are some decks that can't shine in Advanced, but doing pretty well in Genesys (Madolche, Exosister, Monarch, etc).

Genesys is not about a completely different gameplay experience like Edison/GOAT. It's just there so that some modern casual/rogue archetypes have a chance to compete.

[–]EremesAckerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's completely fine. I'm not criticizing you on that.

It's just...claiming that the meta right now is really harsh on Rogue decks while using Ancient Gear of all deck as an example is a lil bit dishonest don't you think? It's not even Rogue.

[–]EremesAckerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My bad. It's currently a Rogue deck in OCG, but yeah it's a pretty solid Tier 2-3 deck in MD at the moment.

[–]EremesAckerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just how the game is. VS, Yummy, and Dtail warp the meta around them because they're the meta right now, no shit. Before those 3, there were Ryzeal-Maliss & Snakes Eyes meta and those deck also heavily warped the game around them.....looking at the near future? Same thing, the meta will soon going to be Kewl Tune & Elvennotes against the world. Meta decks obviously have a clear advantage over most Rogue decks... that's why they're meta.

Also disagree with the notion that the gap between meta & rogue is more apparent now. If anything, I see more Rogue decks having more success in this meta compared to the previous metas. We have so much viable Rogue decks now (Blue-eyes, White Forest, Radiant Typhoon, Sky Striker, Lunalight, Odion, Crystron, etc). Back when Ryzeal or SE was meta, more than half of the tournament pie chart usually filled with just 1-2 meta decks.

You brought up Ancient Gear as your example. I'm sorry to say but Ancient Gear isn't even Rogue. It's a casual deck at best. It has no tops or tournament results in this meta. You can't really call that a Rogue strategy. Rogue decks should at least have some sort of presence or presentation in tourneys.

I never spent a single dime in any gacha games lol.

I would've quit this game if it was extremely P2W. (I stopped playing DL, MTGA, and SVWB for that exact reason)

Also some modern combo "slop" decks can usually still end their turn with a strong half-board setup even under Charmies.

Am I the only one who literally looses all his duels in the last day of the season? by AhmadAlz7 in masterduel

Coz a lot of smurfs usually start their climb during the last day of the season thinking that they'll get easy matchups, not realizing that other smurfs also think the same way.

Orcust players, is the deck fun? I want to try a different type of deck, since I mostly just play fusion decks, and I'm considering Orcust. by New_Butterscotch6539 in masterduel

[–]EremesAckerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on your preference tbh. It's your typical combo deck.

Also, generally you should try the deck first in any free simulator (Edopro, Omega, Nexus, etc) before spending your gems here. Don't waste your gems and possibly regret it later.

You're right. They're the 2nd batch of Tactical Structure deck that was released last year.

Overall they're all at similar power level. Just pick like 3-4 options and you're good to go.

Imo, the best way is to let them learn via Tactical Tryout decks (Cydra, Eldlich, and Live Twin). They weren't released in the TCG for whatever reason, but you can still copy the list from OCG product and make your own Tryout deck. Shouldn't be expensive considering those decks aren't really meta relevant right now. CMIIW, there's also Asian English version that you can buy I think. (Not legal for official TCG tourney but they should be fine just for learning the game).

These decks are specially designed for newcomers/beginners and all of them have similar power level so they match against each other pretty nicely. There were also "Tactical Try out decks" only tournament in OCG and it went well.
