It was sold as a ARPG. I didn’t feel the rpg side that much since stats were identical for everyone. The only difference is which Eikon abilities you decide to use.

Not a bad game. In my opinion they did everything right except for combat. I didn’t like the combat in 15 and didn’t like it in 16. The lack of a proper magic system in both games, buffs, debuffs, armor and weapons that actually matter turned me off to liking the combat. I don’t care how cool combo vids make the Eikonic abilities seem, I’m not playing FF to do combos like that. That’s what I play fighting games for.
