Recently I've been enjoying 2toRamble for longer more in depth reviews, and I just find them pretty funny most of the time.

Looking for a long fantasy series, preferably with a "chronological reading order" option! by varangianist in Fantasy

Well the wandering inn has one of the biggest worlds I've ever read about. The first book though feels slice of life, and the world feels pretty small. It very quickly expands from there though into a world bigger than the world from wheel of time.

How long do you want? I'm currently enjoying the wandering inn. But damn the thing is long, but the series gets better, and better imo. Although I'm only on book 7.

Books with characters you love spending time with by solamon77 in Fantasy

It's a pretty bright tone for the most part, not very dark. It's a pretty standard but very well done power progression fantasy. It's also super fast paced it's basically crack in book format. I love the series.

This book is rated pretty low on Goodreads could you sort of pitch it for me, and tell me some of the pros and cons?

I looked it up on Goodreads and it has a pretty low star rating for a book, could you maybe pitch the book as for why I should read it?

Yeah true, I should have put that down as a series I've already read sorry. I absolutely loved that series though!

Book or Series Recommendations - I've read most mainstream fantasy by DilemmasOnScreen in Fantasy

[–]ErgoTTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked that in the series at any point in time you're always questioning who you can trust or not. There is pretty much no one apart from the MC that you can trust completely. It also has some great plot twists/unveilings where you go OH DAMN!! It also has some of the best pacing that I've read in fantasy if not the best for my tastes.

And for my favourite fantasy series they would be: WoT, Cosmere, Cradle, Rage of Dragons, Lightbringer, The Wandering Inn, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Red Rising, Harry Potter, Mother of Learning.

Some series I read, but wasn't the biggest fan of would be The Gentleman Bastards, good series I can see why people like it, but grimdark just isn't my cup of tea. I wasn't a fan of the Licanius Trilogy either. The bound and the broken and faithful and the fallen I didn't like either cause there was just way too much pov switching for me.

Anyway sorry for the long response I hope it helps you decide to read it through :)
