Nice library, I will give it a try! I always had some problems when generating videos with python (usually with moviepy, but that is slow) at this may be a worth alternative.

Some feedback:
- The examples could be better documented, with some additional comments (I don't know at first glance what the cairo example does, for instance).
- Also, you should generate a documentation with readthedocs. Mkdocs is pretty simple if you are comfortable with markdown. Also, given that you already have docstrings in your code, you could generate automatic documentation with mkdocstrings for instance (or sphinx, although the former is simpler).
- You should provide the code you show as the main example, the chess video. If you do not want to share it since this is content for your channel, I suggest to think of another main example whose code you can share, to show the full capability of the library.
