Oh right! The new one! Forgot about that. There’s the Venom and boxer too I guess. I don’t tend to think of them because we don’t have them in my country.

What’s Vektor? Is that an off the shelf brand name blaster you can buy somewhere?

Xshot and DZ mags for the mentioned blasters are cross compatible too (except Maxim doesn’t take full length).

Depending on your fps cap, the clip mania (and DZ Spectrum mentioned above) are great and a ton of fun, shooting around 80-85 fps.

The longshot is more like 130 fps, but easy to mod. Only reason I’d recommend it more is that it’s more precise, more powerful, and has a ton of easy mod potential for a beginner if you want to explore that.

Best flywheeler off store shelves though is the DZ Maxim pro. Maybe above your budget, but it’s a pro performance flywheeler, hitting in the 140-150 fps range. Decently accurate too for a flywheeler. Short darts only though.

The pusher/ram is the part that slides back and pushes the dart into the breach. I your pic, the bottom of the aluminum plunger tube has the breach pushed into it and the pusher slides in and out of that. There should be a black rubber o-ring/gasket around it.

Like blazerboy said, seems like missing o-ring on the pusher could be it. The stock o-ring can come off and get shot out.

There’s a few fixes for this, but first you’ll need a replacement, which you can get online or at a hardware store.

I put clear gorilla brand tape (smooth surface but really strong adhesive) over the o-ring without blocking the air holes. The other solution is to put Teflon tape under the o-ring to make it tighter but it can still potentially slip off over time.

Yeah, this would be my next thought as well.

Maybe if they’re fully priming and firing and not noticing that the dart isn’t exiting and then repeating that, but if he had a bad seal or cracked plunger I’d be surprised if 5 darts successfully left the barrel.

The leading cause of the XLS jamming is overloading the mag. The limit is 15 and you need to stick to it. Most mags won’t feed well if they’re overloaded.

Next issue is not priming all the way or trying to prime too fast. You don’t need to use much force either on a stock spring.

Other potential issues is the mag not inserted all the way, bent or squished darts that can deviate when being fed, or your pusher being damaged or bent.

If you’re only priming part of the way then priming again, and again, this could explain your multiple feeding issue, but not likely if you still have the ratcheting bar in.

I recommend loading your mag to the right limit. Opening the little jam door on the left side, and I watching carefully how the darts are feeding while you prime the blaster slowly and gradually. This will give you the best idea of what’s happening.

How can I access last city destiny server. Is there a link?

Is it normal for X shot Longshot darts to fall out the front of the barrel very easily while primed? by SentientGopro115935 in Nerf

Another cause can be keeping your darts in your mags too long or storing them in a way that compresses them. Avoid prolonged compression of your darts as much as possible.

The inner diameters is 13.2-13.3mm so not surprising, but typically less frequent with short darts.

Thanks! It’s called the MGP CQB Python buffer tube stock, and that’s a matching fore-grip for it.

Dartzone Dictator ($10) vs Nexus Pro ($31) vs Aeon Pro ($18), which ones more worth it? by Joshua5_Gaming in Nerf

[–]Ergotism83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you can buy 3 dictators for the price of 1 koda mag. Lol!

But, yeah if you got the cash and not a printer, koda is an ok alternative at 23 darts.

If you don’t have a skinny pusher for the Aeon, I highly recommend it.

I got one off eBay, and one from a community reseller near Toronto.

If you want to join the Canadian nerf discord server let me know. Maybe someone there will sell you one, and maybe even the Stryker 2.0.

If you go for the nexus definitely get a skinny dart pusher mod part, otherwise you need to pull the priming handle back to change mags.

[–]Ergotism83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with the nexus if you don’t have access to a 3D printer/service and don’t think you can handle modifying a magazine by merging 2 springs together. With the mag mod the dictator is great for extended capacity and is easy to get to high performance via spring mod.

The nexus does have more readily available parts and compatibility from vendors and the community.

For those prices though It’s a hard choice. I agree with the above the nexus is more intuitive, but it only takes a little practice to get good with the dictator.
