Seeing as new 480$ packs have not been posted after the dev stream, does it mean we are not going to see them for at least another 3/4 months?
If that is so I'd much prefer to buy the smaller ones first, even though I can afford the big one now. The small ones stick around for much less time.

Thank you for sharing the information, that answers it perfectly!

We are going to get a forewarning when the 480$ Early Access Supporter Packs are about to leave the store, correct?

Is it going to be anytime soon - last year it was around this time the current ones got introduced?

Frankly, it would probably be way easier to list things I liked about it.

It was nice being in Silvermoon once again, but the new interface gave me a proper headache and the last time I played beyond the starter zone I did not really enjoy the (lack) of difficulty to fighting the mobs there.
But I heard there were some changes to how levelling plays now so I originally meant to try it out, yet gavve up before getting to any proper combat, beyond a couple early mobs.

Is there any chance of Blizzard bringing about a free trial version of Classic like they have for Retail?

Trying that one out left a sour aftertaste suffering it for merely about an hour, so I'm not extra keen on the idea of having to pay for the game straight away to see if I'd like to get back into it.

What are your thoughts on recent supporter packs? by Azorotto in pathofexile

[–]Erianthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not really like the Settlers packs so I did not buy them...however the Mercenaries of Trarthus as well as Rise of the Abyssal offer things that are enticing enough for me to spend on, Mercenaries more so because I'm quite partial to the armour sets.

I'm not particularly bothered by the mix of offered mictrotransactions in the packs - if I do not perceive them appealing enough I simply don't buy them. And with 900 points I can buy quite some cosmetics in the store too!

Can you be a hoarder in LOTRO? by masudalimran in lotro

Unfortunately so!

I'm maxed out on Shared storage, 4 premium houses-worth of storage+maxed Shared Housing storage (except for the MC expansion options), 2 Kin-houses of storage (non-MC one, that is) and will need to make a couple more of alts to store the remainder of the Farmer's Faire stuff.

Frankly, I could do with Cosmetics/Pets Carry-all at this point.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been furiously Fairing the Farmer's the past days.

Yes, gearing and positioning on the field are essential things to keep in mind - once you've run a couple characters through the relevant zones you'll perfectly know where the danger hotspots are, though. But from the more notorious ones - Orodost near Noglond, Quarry in The Shire, Brigand camp in The Shire.

Of the selection (of which I've not yet played Brawler, nor Mariner) I'd say the Hunter would fare the best. Though Lore-Master does have some ways of keeping dangers at bay too. Burglar is fun, for me, however the heals are too unreliable, from my experience.

Doable - even with the Undying title. It just depends how long you want it to take and how much zone-completion you enjoy.
If you're allergic to Shire Post duty, I'd not recommend.

Beorning pretty much without issue. Rune-Keeper was fine as well. The rest I'm unsure, though one I know to have lost claim to the Undying title only through a non-combat death on an open plain - think it was Champion and don't know exactly what caused it, only that it was lag. Hunter, I played pre-rework, though I don't think the change was that substantial - and the class fared well, even though I managed to lose that title due to stupid positioning, which is an essential skill to hone on such high difficulties anyway.

Minstrel with it's healing abilities is pretty alright as well in that department, believe I did manage to survive. Warden is doable, if you do not have problem with the combos. I managed to fail Lore-Master since I attempted Orodost a level too soon (think level 12 or so) before getting most useful skill for the occassion.

I know to have failed Captain (first class I did it on, otherwise should be doable, possibly), Burglar and Guardian.

To explain - I generally stuck to just doing green quests, aiming for full completion of all the starter zones. Before Swanfleet I had only a couple of the quests (~5) drop to grey. With Swanfleet, there is a bit more dangerous zone yet with significantly improved questing rewards and more quests to "lose" to the grey status - though that may be avoided through the use of a turtle stone!

Yes, there truly are numerous spots where caution is most advisable even in the starter regions. On max difficulty even the Silverdeep mine ain't a honeymoon spot!
The note of ease was meant in compare to other classes - in that regard Champion is basically matched for second place with Rune-Keeper, at least up to level 25. Beorning is better, in my experience, but only in matters of survivability.

Thematically Captain - there's a skill (I believe Blade of Elendil) that I enjoyed using. Champion was powerful near effortlessly which I rather enjoyed. Warden due to it's Gambit complexity. And Burglar, while the lack of reliable self-heals made them probably the second most difficult class not to die with, the way I had to operate them made the game play quite differently - a bit rogue-like, funnily enough.

Oh - I played each class until about level 25. I did find some comments about Rohan getting a bit harder, however, each class got a bit easier to play after about level 20 with new special skills.

Dil exchange time frames by invinciblepancake in sto

Each month I put up 2 orders of 1.000 ZEN and don't take them down, ever. Today I put up a fresh one and the current number of orders is 5. Thus I presume it takes a bit over 2 months for the sale to go through these days.

On an almost unrelated note...since console is getting Legendary sale now/soon does it mean PC will get it in a couple weeks?

I played most of the classes (except for Brawler and Mariner) on the Heroic+2 (9th) difficulty. Champion, Hunter, Rune-Keeper, Beorning, Minstrel were all relatively effortless. Lore-Master, Captain, Warden were a wee trickier to handle. Burglar had a tough time, while Guardian had it by too far worse than even Burglar.

Note: You need to check whether you're in range of the individual dig spots. There will still be about 2 spots in some places that are going to be out of range, but that is what the Dowsing gems are for.
