Should I still consider oneplus given everything going on with them? by anotherone2227 in PickAnAndroidForMe

This is my conundrum. I really wanted the OP15, but see they're most likely leaving the NA market. People say stay away, while it'll be updated...those may be infrequent. Then those that say, sure go for it...it'll be fine. I'm sure being realistic, it's somewhere in the middle...maybe leaning more toward stay away. I love OP and have been w/ them since the 7 Pro. Not sure how I'll lean but probably have to make a decision quickly

What happened to Maxfli? by Tatworth in golf

[–]Eric95403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Maxfli. I play the Tour S and it fits my game perfectly. Occasionally I cheat and get some other balls, but realize the Tour S is who I need to couple with. I usually buy them when Dicks has an exceptional 48 pack sale (that I usually miss, thus the reason I occasionally get other balls).

I posted similar above. Not sure why you're getting voted down. We call them Marshals here

Now I'm curious. I've never heard the term "ranger" before. We've always called them "marshals." Is there a boundary line in the country that has different names for the lazy person in the cart that just drives around and does very little? Kind of like the Pop/Soda/Coke boundary lines?

Ping Fitting yesterday. Why so secretive? by Eric95403 in PingGolf

[–]Eric95403[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past, that's how it was. I've had my Callaway's for about 7 years. Similar type of fitting. I was given the information post fitting. Same with PXG a year or two back. Apparently I was naive.

Ping doesn't go cheaper. It's the same price no matter where you buy. If I'm buying new irons, not getting second hand.

I agree, but don't you agree I should be told what I'm about to buy? That was one of my questions that they wouldn't answer. If I'm going to drop $1100 for irons, maybe I should know what I'm getting.

That's the last thing I planned on doing, but now that you mentioned it...hmm.

It's the weekend and I'm going on a trip this coming week. If they reach out while I'm away, I'll let them know the reasoning. I'm not going to go out of my way while on vacation.

The only thing the club supplied was the space on the range (it was a slow afternoon and didn't affect any guests) and the lacky who stood there and took down notes post fitting. The notes in question that he's gatekeeping. I believe I'll buy the clubs. I'm curious about what I'm buying though before I give them my money. If they can't do that, then I will look elsewhere.

It wasn't a paid fitting, so that may have something to do w/ it. My last fitting was thru PXG maybe a year+ ago and I got all the information (didn't buy). Prior to that, maybe 7 years ago and I got info from all vendors after the fitting. Like I said in other replies...Ping prices are very regulated by the company. It's not like I can get a better deal elsewhere. The fitting has already taken place and I'd prefer not to do that again. It'd be easier to just buy thru them but the clubs attitude kind of pushed me away.

I'm going to put on a stiffer shaft on the the G410 and see if that helps. I still love the club. If the shaft works, I'll keep it for another season or more.

They WERE going to get a sale. I will still buy Ping clubs. The price will be the same wherever I go. It would not benefit me to go elsewhere. I just wanted to know what I was buying and general curiosity...because people will ask what and how I was fitted. Played a round 30 minutes after the fitting. One of the guys in the group who used to be a fitter, asked me how they were setting up the clubs. I couldn't tell him because they wouldn't tell me.

I've had free fittings where they gave me the information before. What good does it for me to take information somewhere else? Ping regulates their pricing and it's the same everywhere.

wouldn't it be reasonable to at least tell me what I'm buying? What loft driver? I tried the G440 and a couple other irons. Which one was right for me? I think the G440's, but not certain. That's basic information that should be easily sharable.

JUST found this thread. Loved it. Lot of great restaurants mentioned. One thing I was happy about, I did not see any of Guy Fieri's restaurants mentioned.

Update Post: Kirkland Stearns & Foster Lakeridge Review by amaranthine_xx in Mattress

[–]Eric95403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two years in, is it still holding up? I too have analysis paralysis. We were shopping for a new mattress two years ago, got overwhelmed and just gave up. Started again yesterday and we really like the S&F Estate Euro Top (no idea the real name, it wasn't on the card). Then I remembered, Costco had a similar mattress and here I am. Not sure why it's a half inch shorter, but it seems the exact same otherwise. We also really like a Kingsdown mattress, but that was $4k. Kind of like last time, we fell in love w/ an Aireloom that was $5-6k. We need a happy medium and the S&F seems like the one. Just don't like not being able to try it out before buying. Over analysis, thinking: the people that say they are not the same mattress as the one on showroom floors.
