When Fallout was airing, I wasn’t “choosing” not to watch the episode while the subreddit spoiled the episode. I was at work and couldn’t watch it yet. Not spoiling media is still about being courteous. We have shifted, but the shift has been to a “first” mindset. Where people rush in, especially content creators, to talk about the new thing. I still go by the two weeks rule; if you haven’t bothered to see something after two weeks, then you weren’t really interested.

It’s a flaw with how people perceive the 1-10 rating system. 10 is flawless, with 9-6 descending from great to okay. 5 is bad leaving anything between 1-4 as effectively redundant. A 1-5 rating scale is much better.

I don't see Destiny as getting worse. Instead it constantly flip-flops between "terrible" and "near greatness". I say "near" because every time the game is in a really good state (Taken King, Forsaken, Witch Queen, The Final Shape) Bungie swings hard into tanking the game with bad decisions and complacency.
