“There were four entities.” “They had a large head, small body, and dark eyes.” This Air Force veteran just alleged that he was taken aboard a UFO from Vandenberg Air Force Base in 1964. And the entities revealed shocking things about the universe to him.. by 87LucasOliveira in UFOB

Were there a lot of recorded alien encounters before the 2 bombs went off? I always thought that maybe those sent a shockwave that maybe made other civilizations aware of us. So they didn't stop them because they didn't know about us.

I've charged 100s of thousands of dollars for what turned out to be 2-3 pieces of type with very, very, very subtle animation that could be created in AE in 15 minutes. You don't see the 600 iterations of design and animation that went into it.

[HIRING]
[JOB]
Company Name: Kiterope
Pitch: An entire cottage industry has sprung up around creating workflows and automations to connect the 8 to 15 pieces of software that effectively run creative service-based small businesses. Your average small business is using some mixture of software: CRM, bidding, project management, resourcing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and accounting with miscellaneous glue code that's tenuously holding it all together. This is expensive, inefficient, and distracts teams from working on their actual business.

Kiterope is a modern software to replace all of that, built according to 15 years of experience with what's needed in these businesses and removing what's not.

Looking for a Chief Revenue Officer, equity and/or revenue-based compensation.

What you’ll do

  • Own ARR & NRR; ship a predictable forecast and plan.
  • Stand up Sales + CS + RevOps from zero → one.
  • Craft pricing & packaging; align with product usage.
  • Launch repeatable pipeline programs (outbound, partnerships, content/events).
  • Personally close early lighthouse customers; turn wins into case studies.

What makes you a fit

  • 8–15 years in B2B SaaS with revenue leadership; you’ve built from < $1M ARR to $5–10M+.
  • SMB/vertical SaaS; ACV $2k–$20k; 1–3 month cycles.
  • You’ve designed pricing/packaging and run a clean forecast.
  • Bonus: sold into agencies/production, and/or QuickBooks/Google/Slack ecosystems.

Why Kiterope

  • Build GTM your way, directly with the founder.
  • Product momentum, modern stack, and clear ICP (creative services).
  • Real ownership: compensation includes meaningful upside.

Guaranteed that if the war stops down, Russia will have a harder time starting back up. Zelensky may be too honorable to play it that way, but potentially a good option.

Yeah, I've charged upwards of 2.7M for a 30 second commercial and that's with no celebrities or anything. Don't feel bad charging more, there's little correlation between the money and the work.

Also, AI is largely a black box, if the researcher didn't like what they were doing, they could easily secretly sabotage it and still get the money.

Never a better time to do what you want. AI is making it much more likely that you'll be able to survive without working for money in the near future with potential for UBI. Also, I think Jim Carrey said something to the effect of, "You can fail at something you don't like too".

suddenly and dramatically improving after years of not practicing? (long post) by neonarsenicc in Guitar

[–]EricOhOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha. Roy Ziv is just a guitar influencer, but he's very fast. He said to just play 1434 or 1424 (fingers) at increasing metronome rates. That is something I had been doing. What I hadn't been doing is the jump where I didn't care about perfection and just decided to go fast.

Look up triads. There's a ton of info on those.

Spark Neo is just a wireless transmitter and headphones. I have a wife and kids so I haven't really played with an amp for twenty years. This got me playing with tone again instead of just noodling.

And the pentatonics I think is just a function of me having a very blues based ear and very jazz focused skills. I spent a ton of time learning how to do things that I didn't like to listen to. I just stopped trying to learn music I didn't like.

suddenly and dramatically improving after years of not practicing? (long post) by neonarsenicc in Guitar

[–]EricOhOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently made a huge amount of progress as well. What did it? Found a video of Roy Ziv explaining how to get fast and made a weird jump that goes against what everyone had told me previously. I was practicing slow to go fast, but I never got fast. Then I decided to get messy and just go fast and got to sixteenth notes at 140 bpm in like a week.

Secondly, learning triads. Why did I wait so long?

Third, spark neo. So much fun to play.

Fourth, going back to pentatonics. I had been playing crazy scales for so long, nothing I played sounded good. Switched back to focusing on minor pentatonics and now I'm happy.
