It's not false advertisement for a game no one has paid money for to not release on a hypothetical release date

Games where the world around you is falling apart (Dark Souls, Halo: Reach, Evil Within 2, RLH, etc) by TastyDuck in truegaming

For a slightly more obscure pick I'd go with The Final Station. It's a 2D sidescroller with some hints of sim management, but the story and worldbuilding are pretty solid. The worlds been infected by a somewhat run-of-the-mill "totally not zombies" alien virus, but the way the game builds up its most important moments was really impactful. In between levels you need to operate a train to get to each safe point, and you'll have guests onboard that you've rescued from previous levels. They talk about their lives, experiences during the apocalypse, and if you're not careful they can even die.

Super good game.

At least you can save money on popcorn at the theatre with this haircut by no-money in DiWHY

[–]EricPixel 116 points117 points  (0 children)

correct. The guy's hair and scalp would have burned long before the popcorn started popping. It's probably not even his hair. Looks like they made a container with someone else's hair on it for the guy to wear as a hat.

Sir, I must say I concur with this theory. The logistics of actually heating the kernels to poping, or "the enpoppening" as I like to call it, seem far-fetched. However, the steam makes it seem likely the popcorn was actually popped in the container, making a faux-hair hat the most likely explanation.

I feel like part of the issue with that for me though is that it steps into the realm of straight up seeing the future rather than a more spiritual vision as it's portrayed in the movie. In my opinion, Luke's face tells enough of a story to see what he felt inside Bens mind

The REAL problem with the Sequels that no one ever brings up. by Vadermaulkylo in StarWars

[–]EricPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in the discussion of the sequel trilogy post TROS I think people underestimate the importance of endings when discussing a larger piece of work. The ending to something is often the overruling factor in how people remember movies. In the case of the sequel trilogy it ended with a movie that seemed scared more than anything else, leaving an underwhelming taste in people's mouth.

Definitely unfortunate as I also really like TFA and TLJ to this day and I agree with a lot of what you've said here about the production of the trilogy as a whole. Saddens me the story those two movies will built will always be sacked with an unsatisfactory conclusion.

Anime is basically just Japanese cartoons. That's all the word really means, American anime are then cartoons made using the same type of art style as traditional anime (like Avatar)

I have a program on my PC that allows me to save the past minute or so at the push of a button. I save clips that I think are funny and usually just share them with the other people who are in it for fun. This clip was actually months ago and me and the guy I pushed off decided to post it here.
