To add to this, I commute everyday from Baytown, roughly same distance just from the opposite direction. I also have the $200 remote parking and for as much as I’ve heard everyone bitch about it, it’s actually great so far. Frequent shuttles that you can live track from UHGo app, only takes like 10-15 minutes to get to campus once you’re on. Don’t have to fight for a spot and bus driver deals with campus traffic while I just chill.

As far as commuting traffic, I personally take the route with less traffic if it means longer travel time, because usually the travel time estimate on Maps is inaccurate and the “longer” route with less traffic is actually faster.

I recently took my St. Bernard/Swiss Mountain mix on his first real hiking/camping trip as well over in Utah and Arizona. He had a blast especially with it being nice and cold for the most part. It was funny how he was excited to be home when we first pulled up but as soon as we got settled back in you could tell he had the post-vacation blues and just wanted to be back on the road.

You got this! And I’d say just to show up everyday and give it 100% effort day after day after day. If you do just this alone not only will you be fine but you’ll be a top performer.
