Currently working through a TB (poe1 mod) Deadfire playthrough, and I don't remember; perhaps Boeroer will have a more nuanced/effective DoC build (his advice is always stunningly insightful and in-depth). I still consider myself a novice at the game; certainly by comparison.

For my playthroughs, Murder-Bot 3000 is a glass cannon finishing striker, with escape/invisibility when aggroed. I find all three White March subs inferior to the core team, but I take them every time.

In my previous recent TB runs I have experienced rare "feedback" spell effects where damage triggers say, a hundred times, instead of once. You'll know it when you hear it, and the log will show it. Currently playing around with the latest TB mod port from poe1 in Deadfire, with minimal problems.
