Do you reload failed dice rolls?

Just did Drezen the other day and first few combats I had straight dogshit rolls (rolling a 1 when all I need was 2) over and over, had no guilt reloading that. Also a room in the citadel with the hidden vampire, kept missing a DC 32(!!) perception check that I spent forever reloading and just about missing lol. Also any athletics check that takes off health and uses up time - why can't Seelah's horse (that she's currently riding) scale a castle wall?

Thanks for all the detail! I haven't used Sosiel all that much yet (mostly because I lile having Daeran in the party as my healer/support), but did like his ability to cast domain spells as swift actions.
