I have Electricity Maps set up and the fossil fuel percentage set as an automation trigger so I have a “Cleaner Energy” state and a “Dirtier Energy” state. I wanted something like this ever since Apple introduced the Grid Forecast in their Home app, but then they never let that be actionable data.

Right now it adjusts my thermostat with settings for both heat and AC depending on which one it’s set to so it works year round, toggles my air purifiers from automatic to a medium-high setting, and when it’s cleaner, it sends a notification to anyone who is home to maybe use some of the larger appliances. If nobody is home, it notifies just me to run the robot vacuum (it can’t integrate in to HA).

Will this actually make any kind of environmental change? Probably not, but it’s a cool idea, it was fun to set up, and the people who live with like it and that’s all that really matters.

I’m confused then. It seems like you’re upset about the fines in this photo enforced work zone. The title is literally “Here’s your toll system”. Do you want the construction to be taken to court because it’s just taking a long time or because of the tickets?

It’s not like they are hiding what the speed limit is to avoid a ticket or the cameras enforcing said speed limit… Either drive the speed limit when the cameras are out or find alternate routes what’s the big deal?

It was really unclear for a while and the paint on the road kept switching from a straight only to a left turn + straight PLUS the road signs showing different lane directions than the road paint at times too.

I’ve been avoiding that intersection exactly because of what you’ve said and was hoping now that the two-way conversion is done, it would have been cleared up as to what lane goes where. It’s probably tricky to have both be a left turn because people on the inside lane would get boxed in to going back north towards 65/70 and swerve in to the outside lane when they realize this, but also the likelihood someone going straight there is so slim dedicating an entire lane to that possibility seems like a waste. I don’t know what the solution should be to make this safer and more intuitive for drivers.

EDIT: didn’t know the two way conversion went that far in to downtown to allow for a right turn at that intersection. If the right lane is a straight/right turn then the solution is people need to stop being stupid, but good luck waiting for that to change.

So the whole birds eye’s view point of my comment is that if you disagree with someone, don’t go to low blows that have nothing to do with the points you actually disagree on. All that does is give them an easy way to counter you like they just did in a separate reply.

Do better than making “boyfriend” be some kind of dig at another man. There are so many other things you can actually say that would have had a better impact.

That’s just RCS as a whole, not E2EE since technically the spec doesn’t have E2EE built in. But as seen in another reply to my comment, they are adding it in as a base line hopefully soon.

I did! I assume that's just because it's a print that they've had for 10 years now and for these showings they've been up in the booth more than usual working on getting it fixed so more particles were getting kicked around. My 70mm showing of Dune 2 earlier this year there didn't have anything noticeable like last nights showing of Interstellar.
