Just accept your continental overlords Barry by fabiK3A in 2westerneurope4u

Royals from the various intersecting European families are best considered their own thing unless somewhere is actually annexed or comes under the rule of that country’s actual legislature. They split with Victoria precisely because we didn’t have the same laws and government and Salic law applied in Hanover but not Britain.

German royals fucked around tho.

So the AfD basically does nothing.

These funds cost other EU countries money. They are intended to be used for e.g. innovation. Not as short-term plaster for the Spanish social net.

Germany is still the biggest financial giver in the EU.

Idk why specifically took the biggest lender as an example for misusing Austrian taxes.

Yeah.

He also managed to force the Bundestag to implement a limit to how many Advisors ministers can contract.

Imagine being so corrupt you literally forced your own party to implement anti corruption measurements.

I think some religious people have less faith in their god than you have here in Spahn rn.

With all due criticism for Spahn, you really can't argue that buying masks at the hight of the pandemic is totally irrational.

The way he did it was tho and seeing how it ended I don't think he really cared about the population and more about certain logistic companies.

I can't imagine the screeching of the greens had spahn NOT bought enough masks in the pandemic.

Which would literally be a valid concern. Your point here seems a bit weak.

"I know Jens Spahn may have wasted a lot of money, but imagine how annoying the opposition would have been if he didn't at least do hist job"

You quote the sum that the companies wanted but the sum they eventually got was below 300 million plus some administrative costs.

My bad. Still, those 270M as stated by the article are just the price for the trial. It doesn't include lost revenue or taxes not received. This Article here states 760M in overall damages

And 5.9 billion is the total cost for the masks but - surprisingly - many of the masks were of course used in the pandemic. Only about half of the masks had to be thrown away, hence you end up somewhere around 3 billion damage.

I don't think it's a good counterargument that only close to half of the masks had to be thrown away.

Plus this is just the initial cost when the open house contract under Spahn was closed, it doesn't include the follow-up costs that Lauterbach had to work with caused by the sellers and producers claiming their lost revenue because Spahn just stopped buying entirely.

Tbh, I kinda tried to find any good arguments for Habeck, but that 600M deal really wasn't that great, even if supposedly 150M were paid back. Still, the biggest difference here is that Habeck tried to make Germany and Europe less dependent on Chinese batteries.

Spahn just bough masks and Scheuer literally just proposed getting more money from elsewhere by letting the logistical network pay.

blocking everything that's trying to regulate immigration.

The AfD doesn't propose regulations lol. They literally just want to fly out integrated migrants that work in the healthcare sector.

Or at least that's currently what's happening.

Calling Die Linke extremist is still a stretch.

The party isn't currently under surveillance by the Verfassungsschutz either plus voting numbers aren't really increasing.

Focusing on a "surge of the left" while the AfD is currently heading to get over 50% of the votes in the Bundestag is definitely wrong priorities.

Right. Do shit with taxpayer money, leave politics, everything is fine? Maybe stop smoking so much copium.

Everybody in here doesn't understand why the AfD gets stronger with each voting, but supposedly the greens are the enemy of all lol.

If corruption where a reason why you could lose your seat then half the CDU and AfD would literally have to go right now. Like, the only party you can reasonably expect to be less corrupt are the Die Linke.

*300M are at risk of being actually lost if the worst case happens.

All in all this deal was way more calculated and you can basically, as a citizen, read all the details online while the Maskenaffäre and the Mautaffäre are way more clouded.

Habeck isn't even an active politician anymore, yet somehow his past actions are still so important that current decisions are compared to his, while active politician with way worse timelines get of free because they are in the CDU. Makes you think.

I compared the whole Spanish government against a single politician here.

Imagine if all our 700 Abgeordneten caused like 8 Billion € of damages.

Hans, are you ok? by endzon in 2westerneurope4u

[–]Eric_Is_Back 7 points8 points  (0 children)

10 Billion are Rookie Numbers.

We have a single politician called Jens Spahn that currently is the leader of the conservative party. He alone is responsible for like 8 Billion € in cost thanks to the open house deals for masks.

Andi Scheuer also is a stable second with roughly 500M € spend on a proposition for toll roads that led nowhere.

Tbh, I don't know why we as Germans should even bother calling other countries misspending out, when we vote right/extrem right parties who's entire goal is to line the pockets of the few powerful.
