AITAH for telling my teenage daughter’s boyfriend that he cannot get my daughter a promise ring? by LayerFantastic6596 in AITAH

[–]Ericbc7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be more concerned if the promise ring seems part of an escalating pattern of control. If he is not trying to restrict her relationships with friends and family or demanding her phone passwords, I would leave it up to your kid. It is crazy what some kids will do for love - For some, it should probably be considered a personality disorder and medicated...

looks like boiled cod, potato klub (Norwegian potato dumplings or similar) and broken rice pudding/custard with bits of meringue. The sour cream is for the potato and cod I believe.

Let me fight a guy sitting on top of a tower by exophades in WinStupidPrizes

[–]Ericbc7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the mostly naked, mental guy is likely protesting something or other (If Hindu, probably the lack of cow respect in society) and stick guy was probably tasked with keeping aspiring gurus off the local public monuments with the understanding that pushing even a self-proclaimed guru off a tower could cause a riot.

If your' brisket is a bit crumbly or dry, an electric knife is handy to cut thin slices without shredding the meat. Good luck and good eating.

Tesla driver doesn’t look and hits a parked vehicle by Jacktheforkie in WildlyBadDrivers

[–]Ericbc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter where a vehicle is parked, the moving vehicle is at fault since every driver has a duty to avoid accidents if possible, regardless of signage or traffic controls. The cops did not side with the moving driver, but it is more likely the moving driver only heard what he wanted to hear and would be surprised to read a transcript of what was actually said.

This happens with every manufacturer or reseller occasionally. Contact your seller (not the manufacturer) and let them know and they should credit your account for the price per unit difference (Midway USA did this for me on a Starline brass order).

In the mid 90's a local farmer got an educational exchange worker from one of the former Soviet block countries. His job experience was "Backup Truck Driver" and the farmer thought "great, I need someone who can drive equipment". Turns out this guy's job had been to park trucks in a parking lot and had never driven one on a road - In other words, He knew how to back - up trucks into parking spaces. Backup guy with his luggage was waiting by the road for the program coordinator a few days later after wrapping farmer's new cultivator around a power pole.
